Wednesday. Mostly just things that were said and stories of what happened.

"Just try it."
-Nieko about sucking my thumb
It's pretty obvi that Nieko and I watch our fair share of trash TV.  We don't care.  Last week during one of our shows, this psycho girl talked about how she likes to suck her thumb.  She's in her twenties.  I just couldn't get over how weird it was.  I mean, we all have our "things" but what adult does that?! Of course Nieko and I sat there for a good minute trying i just to see what the hype was.  We just awkwardly sat there sucking our thumb for few seconds (not talking of course because our mouths were filled with thumb) and it was actually kind of soothing in a weird way.  hahahaha. Weird.  Never again.

"Messy."
-Mason over FaceTime about my eye makeup
Mason is getting more hilarious everyday.  This week he started doing this thing where he holds up his hand, his eyes get real big and he says "SORRY! SORRY!" SORRY!" He's a feisty boy.  Well I guess my mom has had to tell Mason that he's messy or "made a mess" a few times lately so the boy sees something and thinks it's a mess, he will tell you.  Like, he broke two eggs last week and told me about how he made a "mess" and was "sorry."  Well, homeboy decided to be rude one night and told me that my eyeshadow and smeared mascara was "messy."  Guess mom hasn't taught him how to not be a bully yet.

haha jk it was funny.  And it his defense, I was a hot mess that day.
touche', Mason.

"SAAAAAAIIIIIILLLLLLL!"
-All of us at the Awolnation concert
We only knew three songs going into the Awolnation concert last weekend.  The only song you probably know is "SAIL."  great song.  But we spent the whole night saying "SAIL!" and waiting for the song to be played. Sad part was a lot of people started leaving after they played that song.  Apparently, we weren't the only people who just wanted to hear that song.  But seriously, what a fun concert.

"The Pie is just a step up from Little Caesars"
-Vu talking about pizza
I'll admit, the Pie is sometimes really greasy, but it's good Pizza.  Clearly Vu doesn't like it.  But to Nieko, his comment was Blasphemy.

"I've never wanted to Kill anyone more in my life."
-Random "normal" looking dude at the concert talking to me about the Twilight Concert series and all the wackos that go to those.
Dude.  Don't you know what's been going on in our country this last week?  People who didn't look all that crazy, went all crazy and hurt a lot of people.  It might be a little too soon to even joke about killing people, don't you think?
Speaking of that.. am I the only one who's been super suspicious and judgy of people this week?  Like I saw a couple of guys at the concert that night who I swore were up to something.  Clearly, it was just me being on edge.  but really... This last week has been a nightmare. And then the whole "pipe bomb" scare at the elementary down the road from my apt this week too? I seriously don't trust anyone. Crazy people everywhere.

"I'm glad someone loves Awolnation as much as I do."
-Nieko's old girlfriend
I'm sure this old grandma lady was really nice and just really enjoyed Awolnation but she loved Nieko.  We spent the next few minutes upset that Nieko didn't hook it up with her. That would have made everyone's night. hahaha sick.

"...I wonder how long she was watching me?"
-Nieko
Really though.  Do you ever think about that?  So many people can be stalking your life and you wouldn't even know it.  It's kind of creepy. I bet that lady was watching Nieko dance all night. HAHAHA.  And clearly that makes me laugh.

Don't worry Nieko, maybe you two will run into each other at the next Awolnation concert (since you're both the biggest fans) and it will be love.  And you can get married on a boat and we can all sing SAIL because, HELLO, that's totes your song.

HA. jk. But really.  She was old.

"Mom, Look! I bit my tongue and it hurts."
-Me looking for sympathy over FaceTime
"You know what would fix that? A salt and vinegar chip."
- mom
Evil, right? The best part is that she was really hoping that I would take her seriously and try it.  Who does that?!  haha.  I guess I would try to convince someone stupid of that.  But mom, 1.) I'm not that stupid and 2.) You're my MOM! You're supposed to feel bad for me and tell me I'm pretty and the coolest and stuff.

hahaha. I love my mom.

"Look at me.  A rose between two thorns."
-Kiersten's grandpa who was sitting between us at Sunday dinner
Pretty much he was joking and it was super funny because I don't fully "get" old people sometimes.  Remember that time I went to volunteer at the Senior Citizen's place and the old lady told me I had a horrible singing voice?  It was a joke but I didn't get that for a while because the lady didn't laugh.  Old people are good at their jokes and some are really just that honest.  So if he wouldn't have been including his own granddaughter into that comment, I probably would have really been offended.

Old people, right?

"That's gay." -Kier's brother, Bronson
"What if I'm a lesbian and you just really offended me?" me
"Then I'd kick you out of my house... jk. Are you?" -Bronson
I really need to cut that crap out.  I had to spend the next 5 minutes convincing him I really wasn't a lesbian and really liked men.  Kier was like "You're far from lesbian.  You're obsessed with Zac Efron." HAHAHA Umm. Yeah, I'm not sure if that help my case.  In fact, I had to say "Zac isn't even real" just so I didn't seem like this crazy person who is either a lesbian or IN LOVE with a celebrity I've never met.  You guys... Zac IS a real person, so I feel bad about having to say that.  But I mean like, I don't LOVE him. I don't know him.

So I'm going to go on record and say, just because I don't tell people about the GUYS I crush on, doesn't mean I'm a lesbian or a celebrity stalker.

Yay, men! *fist pump*.. in a totally girly, non man-lezbo way.  dang it... We're done with this one.

"Kiersten's a billion times better, prettier and funner (I don't care if that's not a word) Everyone loves her."
-Sister Liz Waite in response to the tiny gossip portion of my emails I send her every week
I don't think this one really needs an explanation...We know what she was talking about.  Liz and I just like to chit chat and just because she's a missionary doesn't mean she's not a real person or realistic.  She knows what's up.  But we love Kier, so I had to share her comment because I thought it was funny .  Plus, I knew Kier would love this.

"I'm almost 60 years old.  No one gunna send me on a wild goose chase.  No one got time for that.  Do your job, get it done, or imma get in your face."... "You ever need a laugh you just give me a call, girl."
-Yolanda. Blackest women I've ever talked too ranting about people at her work who don't do crap. (One of my clients from NJ.)
I wish I could have recorded it so I could post it.  I was laughing so hard so she just kept going.  She clearly was upset about the "lazy" people she works with over there.  Here are some stats from that 15 minute phone call:

1-Curse words used. 3
2-Times legitimately using the phrase "no one got time for that." 6
3-Times she mentioned her "girl friend," called me spunky, told me to give her a call sometime and called me boo. 1 time each.

I'm not going to say she was flirting with me.. but she's called me a couple of times this week. I just laugh the whole time because she's so crazy.

Annoying Things You Might Do, But People Won't Admit it To Your Face- Part 2

People who make up bizarre stories to make their lives seem cooler and more dramatic than they really are.
We all have one of those friends or coworkers who is just like this.  Sometimes people will call you out on this one if you do this enough. However, most of the time the stories that come out of these people's mouths are so outrageous and so false that you can't help but sit there and listen to what they come up with next.

I know someone who keeps talking about how Hallmark and the Discovery Channel are working on writing their "Story" into a movie/episode.  That might be true, who knows? But the story seems so crazy and this person is so dramatic and open about it that it's really hard for me to believe.  But I'm not going to be the person, in this case, who's like "REALLY?"  Instead, I just sit there and listen and ask questions and then talk about it to my coworker afterward.  Don't judge me for "gossiping" about this person.  We all have done this at some point.  And besides, they are the one who is supposedly going to let the world see their story and talk about it anyway.  They asked for it.

My point?  It's annoying.  No, we don't care that you think all these girls want you or whatever.  Who are you trying to kid?  We know you.  We know that "So and So" wouldn't date you.  We also all have facebook, twitter and instagram and we know what you're up too these days. We know you're job isn't that cool. We know, we know, we know.  I guess what I'm saying is, if you want people to think you're cool.. Just BE cool.  It's not that hard.  Making up stories, bragging or lying about dumb stuff just makes you annoying... and significantly less cool.

I'm just trying to help.

The Combined Couple Facebook page

For the love of Social Media, why do people do this?! I've came up with a few lame reasons why I think people MIGHT do this.  But before you read it...I think they are all stupid.

1.) The woman doesn't trust the man. If he's going to cheat on you using facebook, there are other ways he can do it.  Just saying. I know of someone who was using the Chat part of her "Words with Friends" game to hook up with this guy who wasn't her husband.  I also heard of people drawing pictures of where to meet up next on their "Draw Something" app.  All of which seem really confusing and way too time consuming but yeah, there are ways outside of facebook. Where's the trust?
2.) Someone in the relationship is TOO excited about the fact that they are married. (I'm assuming that it has to be the girl that makes this stuff up because I don't know what dude would be like, "Babe, let's combine our Facebook Pages to show how in love we are." get.freaking.real. I can't see that happening.)
3.) The man doesn't use facebook, maybe? But here's the thing.  If you don't use facebook, you don't need your name on it. Ever.
4.) I'm just assuming the girl got the idea and the dude simply can't find his manhood (if you know what I mean.)

All of these reasons are stupid, and I'm sure there are even more idiotic reasons why people might do this.  Maybe someone saw someone else do it and they were like "oh that's cute?" That's just my opinion (and of course you're entitled to your own)  But I really believe that most people don't think it's cute.  It's annoying.

If you have a combined Facebook page and you're reading this, don't get offended.  Just separate your facebook pages, and simply put your relationship status to "married." We get that.  Plus, doesn't it get annoying that people don't know if it's you or your wife (or vice versa) talking? ugh. I just got annoyed thinking about it.

It's dumb. We all think it. The end.  Moving on.

People who only focus on one thing on their Social Media accounts.
Do you know where I'm going with this one?  I have a few "friends" who do this and they have gotten to the point where they just get skimmed over when I'm reading all the updates.

1.) People who only post ONE-SIDED political rants.  I hate them.
2.) People who post a hundred million religious quotes and pictures and junk.  Don't get me wrong, I love reading some of the quotes but when that is all you are posting, it kind of gets annoying.

These aren't too bad though.  I mean, I can decide to not follow you if I want so it's whatever.  However, I'm just trying to help.  Try mixing it up a little.  Like, write in your status about something embarrassing you did that day.  Or post a picture of your cat.  Actually, scratch that... I hate cats but for some reason everyone is obsessed with them these days.  It's weird.  I'm just saying change it up.

People who are grumpy All.the.time.
I know that my blog rants or occasional angry tweets might make me sound like a perma grumy gumpster.  I am not.  In fact, I feel like I'm happy and having a good time, most of the time!  But one thing I can't stand is someone who is always grumpy.  We know this girl who we say has a "Perma-B" look on her face all the time. It's true.  Don't people know how wrinkly their face will get with all that scowling and frowning.  Just stop.

Speaking of grumpy people..If people are doing nice things for you (ie going to your birthday party just to be nice even though no one really wanted to go) it's kind of just a courtesy that you be nice to them and smile or something.  I don't know.  Plus, if it's a party to celebrate your life, why wouldn't you be happy?  I'd be like "I love my liiiiife. RED BULLS ALL AROUND. PARRRRRRTTY." for real.  But no.  Some people decide to complain about the party someone else planned for them, accuse people of doing things that they may or may not have done and then give them 'Tude when they decide to peace out early.  I don't get it.

Grumpy people are annoying.  And you'll probably only get called out by a good friend if this is you.  But Perma-grumpy people don't have true good friends, I feel.  So take it from me when I say, "chill out."

Cherish Each Moment.

Yesterday Cole and Kier and I got a card the mail from my Mom. She does that sometimes.  She'll send us random cards with a little note and usually a gift card to some place.  She knows she doesn't need to do it, but she's just the most thoughtful person I know so that's just what she does.  This card came one day after the Boston Marathon bombing and couldn't have been more inspired. The inside of the card said:

"Cherish Each Moment."

She went on to talk about how blessed we are and how sometimes it's easy to want more or to complain about how things aren't easy but how life is so short.  We hear that all the time.  Life IS short, and it can change in the blink of an eye.  We saw that happen yesterday for the people who were killed or injured in Boston and for their families and loved ones.  They didn't wake up that morning knowing that their life was going to drastically change.  We never really know.

I know everyone says "life is short" and talks about "the end" and we automatically think about dying.  haha well, at least I usually do.  Death is scary and the idea of not knowing when it's coming is even scarier.  But my mom wasn't really just talking about that.  She was also talking about how life changes so much while we are living too and you don't always know when it's coming.

You're only in college once, you're only a young single adult once, you only get to live with your brother or sister for a short time... Whatever stage you are in right now, no matter what it is, life changes so quickly and we go from one stage to another without even realizing it usually. No, mom wasn't really talking about "YOLO-ing" but I guess it kind of works.

It just really got me thinking about how we always wish that days would go faster or that we could just "move to the next stage of life already."  It happens.  I spent plenty of days wishing that High school, college, and school in general would just DIE. Ok, mostly I just hated tests.  But that's just what we do.  We always want something better and we usually tend to like things to be easy and comfortable. We whine, complain, waste time and are just lazy a lot of the time.

But I love how mom put it when she talked about how Cole and I needed to make sure we cherish this short time we get to spend together.  Things are good for us, don't get me wrong, but we could do a better job of really taking it in and making the best of it because, once it's over, it's over and it will just be a memory that we look back on.

I know this is cheesiest of cheesy posts but really think about it.  What stage of life are you in right now?  Are you making the most of it? Or are you complaining and wishing the days away?  Stop it. (I will try too) Because in a few months, weeks years.. whatever.. that moment could be gone and then guess what? it's gone.  And you will just be onto the next stage wishing for the next one.  And then you'll find yourself old and wrinkly and needing help to go to the bathroom (Ew) and you'll be wishing for the opposite.. to be young and to have those precious moments back.

Really count your blessings. Don't wish precious moments away...Especially the good ones.  Yes, there are some things that happen to us that we don't understand or things that we'll hate to have to go through...we will get sick, we will get our hearts broken, we will lose people along the way, horrible things WILL happen, BUT we get to choose how we keep living.  No one else gets to do that for us.

Clearly, I'm not the best at this and I don't want to even think about dying but I'm going to do a better this week at making things count and just living in the moment and making the most of it.  We know we need to do this but if you don't make yourself sit down and really thinking about it, then it's easy to forget.

Don't miss out on opportunities to truly live and get the most of life because you are too busy wishing days away and waiting for change to happen.

Make things happen.
Cherish each moment.

Wednesday

"I said mild." -me to the waiter and BWW who thought I ordered "wild" wings
"I just saw you and thought wild." -the waiter
Pretty sure this waiter "eluded" to the fact that he thought I was a lesbian.  I don't blame him. Sometimes I just like to dress comfy and I'm usually only with dudes.  It happens.  But when he said this about "looking at me and thinking I was wild" or something I thought it was pretty funny.  I'm not wild.. I'm just awesome, I feel ;)

"He made out with a girl who could barely stand up." -Nieko
"Was she handicapped or just really big?" -Sam
I'm not sure how Sam hadn't heard this story about Willy from a YEAR ago.  I mean, really. Earth to Sam--That was one of the best stories of 2012.  "Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow." hahahaha. Sorry Willy.  I'm done.  But really, Sam really just assumed that since she couldn't stand up she must have been handicapped or obese.  HA.  Ok, I'm not laughing at people who are those things because that is not a joke.  I'm just laughing that he didn't guess the obvious.  And come on.. Just because someone is obese or handicapped, that doesn't mean they can't stand up.  I mean, some can't.

..Oh crap, now I just got sad.

"Do you want a hug?!" -Jamie to mom
"No." -mom
Jamie was so upset about this.  Mom just didn't want a hug but like Jamie said, if she's asking someone if they want a hug, it usually means that she really wants one.  Isn't our mom is the nicest? haha jk.  Sometimes you just don't want a hug or to be touched.  I think we've all felt that a time or two.  I know I have.  I don't blame her.  Especially since she's been super tired lately being a grandma and helping babysit pretty much 24/7 right now.  She's a good mom!  Just don't ask for a hug sometimes;)

"Good thinkin', Blinkin"  -me to mom via text about a good idea she had
"Good fartin', Blartin'" -mom's response
I couldn't help but laugh at this.  Why? Because mom text a lot more now that she has her iPhone and she says some really funny things.  You guys, she even uses emoji's sometimes and it CRACKS me up.  The best is that she's so quick with her responses.  Sometimes they don't make sense, but that's when they are the best.

"You're so clev-e-a." -Nieko
"What did you call me?!" -Kier .........
"Ohhhh French for clever." -Kier
yes.  Nieko is fluent in french. Didn't you know?

"I would have been a gatherer."
-Me talking about cavemen days and how there is no way I could have been a hunter.
"I can't even touch raw chicken so..."
-Amanada
And that was the day we decided we would have been gatherers, without a doubt.  Think about it.  Being a gatherer would have been WAY less messy (You know all the blood and literal shiz that came with being a hunter), and it would have been less of a nightmare.  Those hunters had to have been fearless to kill all those beasts and they couldn't mind getting dirty.  Both things that don't equal Jenn.  I mean, all you'd probably have to worry about as a gatherer really was the poisonous stuff...and the occasional animals that might have been hunting you. Ok, yeah. I just decided I couldn't have been a cave-person.. or a pioneer.

"EASTON, your pants are on fire, I'm not even kidding you!!!!!!"
-Kier frantically letting Easton know his pants were on fire.
I can't remember why he was standing on a piece of wood in the middle of the fire pit on Saturday night but his pant leg really did catch on fire without him realizing it. And Kier freaked out. HAHA. I told them it was like the time my coveralls caught on fire in High School during welding.  Nightmare.  It's the moment where you don't know what to do and you think, "Do I take off my pants, am I wearing cute under-roos? Do I stop, drop and roll?" kind of moment.  I'm sure Easton didn't think that at all.  He's a man's man.

Man. Put fire out with hand. *ok, Jenn.  Enough with the Caveman talk.
moving on.

"I know you have like a lesbian crush on me and everything but it's just getting creepy, I'm not into girls, sorry..."
-Maddie Blaylock on "How to Respond To Mean Girls in High School."
Savanna and I like to keep up on the High School drama that's going on. 1.) because it still includes people that we love and 2.) I'm fascinated with how different things are now than from when I was in High School a billion years ago.

Girls are mean these days..and whores.  Luckily Maddie has a good brother like Hyrum to give her good advice on what to text someone who is being a B word to you everyday of your life and making HS a living Hell.  His advice? Call them out for being so obsessed with you and your life.  The jealousy card won't work but calling them a lesbian will. (Not in a taunting way like "omg, you're a lesbian" because that is rude but in a "umm, I'm a little creeped out that you have a huge crush on me and are a little stalkerish" kind of way)

You guys, she really said this to one of the girls via text.  I love it. The girl just answered back with question marks.  Why? Because they might actually realize that they are seeming a little obsessed with you and they might even begin to question their sexual orientation.. or they will just back off.  Either way--win/win.

I think it's a good tactic.

"Real babies are not a joke.  Fake babies? Kind of funny."
-Amanda and I talking about all the people announcing they are having babies.
Sometimes Amanda is the last person to find out things in our group.  It's not a bad thing, I just think it's funny.  So when I mention something in a "nbd" kind of way (because it's old news) and she does that "WHAT?!" kind of thing.. it's kind of fun.  Only because I get to relive how hot the gossip was when I first heard it.

Sadly, I wasn't joking about the baby news. That's only something that would be an "APRIL FOOLS" kind of joke.  Don't get me started on April Fool's and baby announcements....

Really, though.  Babies.  This just got us talking about how the idea of having a baby right now is kind of a nightmare.  I mean, for us. Since we're not married or in a relationship or anything.

But to all of you having one right now, Congrats! *insert thumbs up*

"I'd pick my warts off before dances though."
-Kier
Warts are not a joke.  Either are Herpes.  Kier, though?  She had them both in HS.  Not Herp, herp but you know? Mouth Herpes.  When she told us this at dinner about how she picked her warts off her hands before dances, I was dying laughing.  I just pictured her sitting on her bed frantically picking them clean off before her date got there to pick her up. Kier--I'm not laughing at your situation because it's not that big of a deal.. I'm just laughing at how open you are about it and how you decided to tell us this at dinner.  Guess what though, guys.. she's herp and wart free for the record...and the prettiest :)

"You would like those, you're like an Indian." -Jamie to me
"How am I like an Indian?" -me
"Sometimes you wear Moccasins and you do have the skin tone of an Indian.  Feather not dot, of course."
"haha That's rude." -me while listening to her talk about my red skin.
"Embrace your natural roots." -Jamie
It's not a surprise that I have naturally red skin. I don't really LOVE it, but what can you do?  That's just the way it is.  I'm a Hansen, sue me. I'm also blond so any color I have you can just assume I got it from tanning. Fake? Don't care.

I know that we have Cherokee in our blood line somewhere but get real; I'm not an Indian. Jamie just got lucky and got the Portuguese Olive toned skin from the Stump side.  That basically means that if she's out in the sun for the day she turns Mexican.  It's rude, but what can you do? She's the pretty child. I'm the middle child. Shafted. The end.

"She doesn't even go here!"
-Cole to Kiersten as she was giving the "thought" at our ward's FHE
Let's face it--Any quote from "Mean Girls" is always funny but it's EXCEPTIONALLY funny when it comes from a dude who is calling out his girl friend in front of a bunch of people she doesn't know.  haha. She was really just doing me a favor since I dropped the ball on finding someone.  She's a gem.  But Cole's right.  She doesn't go to our ward.

hahaha. Classic.

Just the Two of Us :)

Yesterday I came home to an apartment with one less roommate.

Sam has been living with Cole and me for the last 7 months so it was kind of weird getting home from work, walking down the hall, and not seeing double the mess or the air mattress and suitcases in Cole's room or sports center on the TV in the living room.  I'm not really complaining about most of that though. ;)

I've talked about how big of a blessing it was to have Sam move in with us at a time where Cole was still looking for work.  Really, I've said it many times and I'll say it again...Heavenly Father really does know what we need when we need it. I know it's because I faithfully pay my tithing.  No doubt about it.

Sure, having any sort of roommate becomes a challenge but it's in those challenges that we learn and grow.  I've learned more about the things that I can stand, the things that bug me (and how to handle with it) and I've learned how to be a little more understanding.  Now, I'm not saying that I didn't get frustrated.  To the people who always listen to me complain--I'm annoying, and I'm not sure how you put up with me and my faux dramatic life.  Haha. Trust me, I've lived with PLENTY of roommates in my days, and I've also lived alone so yeah, roommates aren't always ideal.  However, at the end of it all I'm truly grateful for the learning experience.

So now it's back to just Cole and I and I really want to just enjoy this summer with him as my roommate.  He really is one of my best friends.  Can you believe that around this time last year, Cole was leaving for Canada to work and I was living alone for the summer in the old apartment on Main street?  haha. It's funny how things change in only a year.  Now, we are looking toward some big changes at the end of this year with Cole and Kier most likely "tying the knot" in the near future. ( Did I just say that before anything is official?  Yeah, I did.  But get real.  Like people aren't already assuming that it will eventually happen.) With all of that I'm not sure what that means for me, but this last week I've gotten to really start thinking about it as Cole and I started talking about what was going down. Crap will be getting REAL and things will be changing in a big way for me.  I'm nervous, excited, and mostly just want to puke about it all but I know it's good.

Three years ago when I graduated from school I wasn't sure that things would ever be "OK" for me.  Of course, I was being all "Jenn" about it because things always work out.  They just do.  I'm just starting to realize that I'm going to actually have to start figuring out what I want to do with my life for ME... no one else.  Which is something I've been praying about for a long time.

I have some 2013 goals written on a piece of paper and taped to my bathroom mirror. Most of them are to help remind myself that I need to stop and take care of me (as well as still helping others) because over the last couple of years, I haven't done a good job of that.  Like, at all.  But Heavenly Father is working it out so that I have no other choice but to start taking care of myself.  Again, that makes me want to throw up, but I'm ready for it. I have to be.  Plus, I've been praying for it so I have no other choice but to, you know, do it and make it work.

So feel free to give me suggestions on what I should do with my life after the next few months.  My roommate Mandy in college was inspired to point me toward a degree/career path back in 2007, so i'm convinced someone should be able to tell me what to do next :) haha. but really. I'm just taking it once step at a time like everyone else and honestly. .. I'm just ready for warm weather and to enjoy this summer.  Speaking of that...Can someone please tell me why it's so cold and snowing and it's the middle of April???  BOOOOOOOOOO.

ok, that is all.

A curse, An Embarrassing Story and random crap/lessons I want to remember.

Is anyone else as excited as I am about the fact that Zac Efron is in quite a few upcoming movies this year? OK, maybe not. I just love that because of the movies he's going to be in, all these pictures of him are popping up everywhere and I love it.  I just don't understand how someone can be that hunky?  Like for real.  I mean, there are a few guys around here that I've met or seen once and occasionally I'll catch myself being all like "dang!" but it's totally just in a  "you're a hunky dude" kind of thing. I don't tell them that, of course. haha. But Zac? I'd tell him.

Really, I don't know what is up with me lately.  I think the talk I had with my dad a couple of weeks ago cursed me or made me more girly or actually care about certain things that I haven't cared about for a long time.  Right now you probably just chuckled and are wondering if I'm normal.  Don't worry, I wonder that about myself all the time.  Haha But I'm serious.  That dad of mine just made something click in my brain I think. It's like I had turned certain things off for a long time (Long, boring story) and all of a sudden I'm like, "Oh, cute boy" and I'm actually paying attention to things like that more.  "Jenn? Whaaaaat?" Yeah. I know.  But it's only a titz.  Don't get too crazy ;)

Progress.

Quick embarrassing story.  The other day I went to go get a pick-me-up cupcake for Kier (and, let's be honest, I got one for myself too) and right when I walked in, I couldn't get over how cute the kid was that was working there.  Normally this wouldn't be a problem but, you guys, he was probably a teenager...Like 18-19, I don't know. Was there a little flirting? HAHAHAHHAHA I'm not really sure.  But whatever it was, I'm not proud of it. I wouldn't even let him get me a bag for my treats because in my head I was like " ahhh. OMG. he's a baby. a cute baby. get the eff out."  I hurried and left and will probably never go back now.  Ok, I will TRY to never go back.  I mean, come on...they are my favorite cupcakes.

Fml. whatever.

One more, non-swoony thing.

Lately some stupid things have been going on with people I really care about.  Girl drama.
Plain and simple--most girls are super dramatic and mean.  (I say this knowing I'm also a girl who is dramatic when it comes to certain things and occasionally not the nicest of souls. But that's different and not the point:))

I'm just sick of people making things so complicated all the time.  If you don't like someone, don't pretend that you do to their face.  If you're not going to tell them, at least give them the cold shoulder so they can get the hint and have a chance to adjust or fix whatever it is or move on. Don't go talking about them to all the wrong people only to have that person find out and be blindsided by it.

Just try not to be fake. I mean, I might not tell you that I don't like you (for the most part I have a pretty soft heart and I just don't like when people get their feelings hurt), but you can for sure tell if there is something up if I'm not making an effort to "click" with you, be around you or even talk to you.  That's just how it is. Wouldn't like people less annoying if we weren't rude but if we just gave little hints to those people we have to be around... Oh, and if people would actually pick up on those hints.  haha. jesh.

Oh and, if you've done something wrong to someone, don't try and put the blame on the other person or try to make them feel guilty.  That will just piss them off more.  They didn't do anything, you did.  So if the friend is worth keeping around, apologize and do whatever you can to make it up to that person.  Most of the time they will probably forgive you (if you are a first time offender).. but like I said.. if you don't want to lose that friend, admit that you messed up and fix it. You won't know until you try.  So get over yourself... fix it.

Ok. I'm done.

Wednesday Guest Post by Kier. AKA Kiersty AKA Kiersten Cullen AKA Kiersten Chenoweth

I have been collecting a few quotes here and there from Jenn for the past couple months and I can only hope that I can be half as hilarious as she is on her blog posts. I remember when I first found out about her blog (and secretly read it before we were even friends #creeperstatus) I was a little frustrated that things that she said couldn't be included in it. I wasn't used to her at the time and everything she said would make me laugh so hard. I remember even saying out loud one time "why isn't anyone writing this down!!" so here you go, Jenn's Quotes.

"People would have to literally peel my sweat pants off."
We were all sitting in the car talking about how great it would be to work from home and then Jenn just laid this one on us, taking it to a completely new level. The conversation continued on to talk about bed sores and really letting ourselves reach a black hole of despair and shower-less days. But for real, imagine PEELING someones sweat pants off. As if the term SWEAT pants isn't enough... now we are peeling them off, I cannot.

"I bet its just scar tissue.......... Unless your twin is in there"
Ok, weirdest quote award. Let me explain. A few weeks ago I was in a car accident and I bit through my lip resulting in a small scar below my lip that feels really hard. I've sort of been worried about it lately and I've been making everyone touch it. It really is just scar tissue in there but it kind of does feel like there might be something stuck in it. Most people when they feel it say, "is there glass in it?" or "maybe its a rock." Leave it to Jenn to guess that I have my undeveloped twin living in my lip. It probably would make a really great reality T.V. series, and Jenn is all about reality T.V. so I guess maybe it makes sense now.

"Do you think its cute?" -me
"I Don't like its beady eyes, I mean really, think about the fact that it can see through that eye hole"

Reading this you might think that we are talking about a snake or a fish or something super creepy that might be cute if you're a little weird, you know what I mean. But no, we are talking about a duck, a little baby duckling. If you can't imagine how cute these things are go ahead and look them up on google images. These things are adorable. I showed Jenn a picture of a baby duck that I held at Coleman's work and this was her reaction. HA!! seriously, it is still beyond me how baby ducks could be creepy, but she did have a point about its beady eye.

"GRAVITY!! it's the freakinest weirdest."
recently Jenn quoted Nieko saying "how bad did you scream on a scale of 1 to starship 5000" or something like this. I guess Jenn went on a ride at the fair last summer that scared her really bad and Nieko even has a video of it which really is funny. We watched the video of her doing it and then proceeded to watch people on YouTube doing it as well. Even just talking about the Starship 5000 made Jenn get all fired up, she was basically freaking out about how odd gravity was, she was so fired up that she started making up new words. #freakinest

"I don't want some rinky dink hot dog."
Okay, first things first, Rinky Dink?????? Someone PLEASE tell me where she gets these things. pretty much the best descriptive word on the planet and even better when you are talking about hot dogs. For weeks Jenn has been wanting a hot dog. When I mentioned that we could walk over to Walmart and get some hot dogs this is what she exclaimed. What is a non-rinky dink hot dog? A Costco hot dog, according to Jenn that is.

"That makes me so sad, Oh my gosh I'm so glad to have eyebrows."
We were watching Jackass where one of the guys is getting waxed all over his body. They finally got to his face and they waxed off his eyebrows. I will admit that he did look really creepy. But Jenn got really upset about it and felt so bad for the poor guy. This immediately made us spend the rest of the night looking up celebrities without eyebrows. But for real who knew they made up such a big part of the anti creepiness of your face. So of course because I knew how much it upset Jenn, I spent the next day photoshopping Jenn's eyebrows off. Hahahah best half hour I've ever spent.

"I love the Red gum, Jokes on you I ate them both, I eat all the things."
So the other night we were just sitting around the counter and Jenn had this little thing of gum that was shaped like eggs in an egg carton. Jenn was talking about how great the red gum was. When I reached over to grab the second red gum she quickly put it in her mouth. So then when I reached for a different color she proceeded to take all twelve pieces of gum and shove them all in her mouth just so I couldn't get one. I want you guys to be able to imagine this right, The whole time she kept a straight face, both of her cheeks filled with gum, one eyebrow raised, looking at me and letting me know she was queen. HA!! then as I sat there feeling like a peasant she said the last part of the quote as she put the plastic carton in her mouth. "I eat all the things."

side note-- she didn't really eat the plastic. #LongLiveTheQueen

"Well she needs a drink of water."
As great as General Conference is there is one thing about it that I just can't handle and that is all the mouth noises. That microphone they use is top of the line because you can hear every movement their tongue makes and every smack of the lips. This one lady in particular was reallllyyy lip smacky, everyone was thinking it... Jenn just said it.

"My whole life is in there"
"No it's not"
-Sam
"Yes it is, I'm having an out of body experience."

Those Hansen's you guys are quick on their feet. As we were leaving to go to dinner Jenn was double checking that someone had locked the door. Sam remarked it doesn't matter and Jenn replied that it did because her whole life was in there. Sam was quick to tell her it wasn't and Jenn was even quicker to prove him wrong. It's sometimes so hard to not take her serious because she says these things so quickly and with the straightest face. One time she even convinced me her dad was a real clown that went to clown school. True Story.

Well there you have it. I have more but I honestly can't remember why they were said even though they still make me laugh. Like this one that says "He is doing a really great impression of a hot dog." Jenn sure does love hot dogs. I wish I could remember what she was talking about. Anyway we all know Jenn is the best and the funniest girl around so she needed some recognition for that. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN.

Love you Jenn!

Wednesday

"I didn't want to say that. ABORT! ABORT!"
-Jamie about something she wrote on Instagram
We can't be the only people who have frantically wanted to delete something we've said on someone's instagram because you either spell something wrong, forget to tag someone in the comment, or realize you said something REALLY stupid.  Like, Jamie listening to my advice and commenting on a picture of our aunt's newborn naked baby bunnies.  "Make sure you don't touch them, the mom will eat them." haha. I thought it would be funny.  But really, like they didn't already know that, or ever google things about their new born babes?  haha.  But nooooo. Once you post crap on Insty, it's done and you occasionally have to comment again to make yourself sound less stupid.

Instagram.  smh.  Punking people on the daily.

"Eggs come from chicken period and my mind can't even comprehend that I have gone my whole life without realizing it."
-Nieko during our text conversation about eggs.
hahahaha probably my favorite conversation of the week.  It's true, once you finally realize this about eggs, it's kind of super weird.  And is probably even making you feel funny right now because you knew that's how it was but you didn't really think about it until just now.  You might even be mind gagging right now because it's that weird and gross. Sorry about that but it's a fact that needed to be addressed.

The kid doesn't eat eggs unless they are chocolate but for some reason I feel like he looks at all of us "egg eaters" differently now.  Like we're sick or something.  idk.  It's weird and gross, I totally get it.  But we confirmed that it's just about as weird as my actually having an FFA "egg business" in high school...Moving on.

(If any of you stop eating eggs because of this, I'm sorry.)

"I didn't know there were THAT many Mormon's here."
-Walmart worker about how empty it was during Saturday morning General Conference.
Listen, I'm not a fool.  I put conference on my DVR and set out to get stuff done during a time I knew most would be home. But really? I couldn't believe this Walmart worker. You grew up here in Utah and you are just NOW realizing the population of Mormon folk in Utah? huh...I guess (omg I just about said something rude about her job but then I stopped myself because she was actually really nice.)

"It's rated 'Nightmare' for Easton."
-Easton about Evil Dead
We told him we were seeing Evil Dead on Saturday instead of the real movie we went to see (yeah, we went to Jurassic Park 3D, get over it.) But the kid totally showed up to 'go to the movies' with us without even knowing what movie we were going too.  I like interesting movies and enjoy scary movies too so you should ALWAYS question what we are going to see before you agree to it. But there is no way him or Sam would ever go see Evil Dead.. you saw the previews, right? That girl cutting her tongue right down the middle?

umm. people really do that.  YouTube "Split Tongue Tricks" if you don't believe me.  Actually, just believe me. It's weird.

"I'd be like Chanel West Coast.. just be beautiful and contribute nothing."
-Kier about being my co-host if I ever had my own TV/You-Tube show.
Yes, we were talking about what it would be like if I had my own TV or You-Tube show.  There's no way that would ever happen or even be good, but sometimes we just kind of go off on our ideas. But any of you who have ever watched Ridiculousness or Fantasy Factory know what we're talking about with Chanel "West Coast."  I could go off just on her name but the girl really just is beautiful and sits there and says only stupid things and laughs weird.  It's whatever.  Apparently Kier thinks she could be my Chanel West Coast.  So there's that.

"I'm going to flip that old lady off." -Cole
"She didn't do anything to you."
"She looked at me weird." -cole
hahaha leave it to Cole to think that the random old lady in the van next to us wanted to start something with him.  Who knows why the old lady looked at him weird, could have been anything really... you know old people. But for him to actually flip her off? yeah right.

So you're noticing right now that I MIGHT have slacked a little this week.  5 quotes instead of 10? How could I?  Well... I told Kier that this week was a slightly less funny week and she FINALLY agreed to do that guest post I mentioned about a month ago.  I was going to just include it on this post, but this girl is so funny, I had to give her the entire post.  So... You should read it. here. Or just go to the next post.

P.S. I only edited the format and few punctuation things because I realize she wrote this super late last night.. haha but I didn't change any way that she said things or put notes in to defend myself on how weird I am because, I quote people without letting them defend themselves all the time.  I had to be fair :)

Happy Wednesday!
(OK, for .5 seconds I was trying to think of something to call you readers.. haha like I'm Lady Gaga or something. smh BAHAHAHA.)
ok. bye. for real this time.

Five Annoying Things You Might Do, But People Won't Admit It To Your Face. -Part 1

When people sing their greetings.  For example, there is this girl at work who not only will just burst into song randomly in the middle of all of the cubicles (like this morning was Whitney Houston. wtf?) but you simply say "Hi" to her and she'll respond with singing, "GOOD MORRRRNNINNNGGGGG." um. OK..? And then you have to awkwardly walk away because 1.) you're not weird enough or friendly enough to give her a sing-song greeting back and 2.) She's annoying.  So you just walk away.

It's weird.  I don't like it.

When people post things like, "Who wants to hang out?" on their Facebook status. If you get a hang-out out of this, that's great, but why can't you just text your friends and be like, "Dude, I'm bored, let's go bowling." I mean, that makes you sound a hundred times less pathetic..and weird.

When people post 8 million selfies on Instagram in one day. Home girl, we get it.  You think you're really pretty today.  But if I wanted to look at you all day, I would either stalk your Facebook or call you and ask you out for drinks.  So, enough already.  Go ahead and post one here and there, that's great!  But that many in one day is just asking for people to judge you.  If you don't care what people think, that's good too.. But I'll be the first one to say out loud that you are annoying annnnnnd p.s. those one's where you are making those faces where you're trying to be sexy? They aren't cute. Like, at all.

note--  If you're going to post a selfie a day, make it a good one.  Moving on.

When people take the "what's on your mind" in the FB status update box literally and treat it like a therapy session. You need to get something out? I totally understand.  But do us all a favor and only tell that crap to your closest friends and family [or start a blog like me so only people who really want to read your crap are reading it].  The people you no longer talk to from High School or that friend who accepted your friend request because they know they met you that one time and they didn't want to be rude, doesn't really care that you're miserable.  I mean, they might care and feel bad for you a little but come on.  You're seeking attention, so go get help from the right people.  Really.  Marriage problems, digestion problem, severe depression/suicidal thoughts.. I've seen it all.  It's scary and not OK.

And while I'm at it, what's the etiquette on "liking" those kind of updates.  If I like it, am I saying that I also agree that your life is horrible? or that I like that your life is horrible. I don't know.  It puts me in an awkward position.

When people talk like they are a rapper (and a different race).  Now, I don't want you to think that I'm assuming only a certain race raps OR refers to women as "hoes." Hello, Eminem is a white rapper and I'm pretty sure he's called women hoes before.  Guaranteed.  And what about the Beastie Boys? white.

[*me shamelessly bringing up just about the only famous white rappers to prove my point.* haha]

But really, this white kid I went to high school with legitimately wears wife beaters and posted this as his status today.  haha.  I don't even know what else to say about this one.

Dude. just... just, don't.

Oh and who cares if the "hoes" don't or do want you?  Who wants a "hoe" anyways, really?  Why can't you just get yourself looking so good you can't help but check yourself out in that horrible mirror of yours, take off that chain necklace, put on a real shirt, and ask a normal girl out?

Or wait? Are all girls considered Hoes to these people? I forget.

Wednesday

"You know what I love about long drives? Soft serve ice cream."
-Kier
Clealy the girl wanted ice cream.  Who were we to get in the way of something she loves? We didn't stop her.  The best was that we kept asking what kind she wanted and she kept saying "whatever kind I want." umm? k.  Arctic Circle on Kiersten for the win :)

"SEGREGATION!"

-Kier about girls going up one flight of stairs and boys up the other...only to see that a black kid followed the both of us up the stairs as she chanted this.
I was dying.  Of course the kid was behind me so she didn't see what was going on.  I'm sure the kid didn't think anything of it.  But let's be real for a minute... There are a few things I feel like you don't chant when you're around certain people.  I think this was one of those things and one of those moments.

"Do you remember when I used to play that sad Muppet's song and you would just sit and cry?"

-Jamie
The sad part about all of this is that I have a vivid memory of me sitting on the floor in the dark crying while Jamie MADE me listen to this song on our green record player.  She knew it made me sad.  You guys, it was about "saying goodbye and going away."  I mean, that was really in the lyrics.  It was sad..so yeah.. I cried a little.  Maybe this is why I have such a hard time saying goodbye to people and letting people go.  Way to ruin me, Jamie ;)

"Where's Fro-Ro?" -Mom

"OK, Scooby doo." -Cole
Mom is so funny.  Sometimes she just can't get certain words right.. I honestly don't think she means for it to be funny.  Like, she couldn't say Fro-Yo... or she was just confused, I don't know.  But it was so funny. ( I just said it again in my head and laughed out loud. )  Oh how I love that mother of mine.  And her love for Jamba Juice and Fro-Yo.  Two peas in a pod.

"You need to get on it." -Mom to me about getting a man

"Yeah, Jenn." -Nieko annoyingly agreeing
Nieko was finally able to meet my parents when they were here this weekend.  Of course mom brought up me finding a man.. I think I was talking about someone who graduated from the singles ward but hasn't left yet so she was like "yeah, you're right there too." (at least that's my version of it. even if she didn't REALLY say that haha) and Nieko of course jumped right in on agreeing with Linda.

He would. He did. He's rude.

"He's like a human."

-Justin Bieber on instagram about his pet monkey.
If you know me then you know how I feel about this.  While, I have to admit that this one (in this picture only) is kind of cute, I still don't change the way I feel about them.   LOOK at those fingers.  AND how it's sleeping. *shiver*

"I had a nightmare that I was on Good Morning America for buying the most expensive cross bow."
-Dad
Dad learned how to use his iPad so he's on Ebay. A lot.  Well about 1:30 am, mom and I were watching Vampire Diaries and he hands the iPad over after he realized that he accidentally bid $17,500 for a cross bow instead of $175. At the time I wasn't laughing because I was frantically trying to google how to reverse a bid.  Clearly he didn't mean to bid that much on a bow that was maybe worth 3 or 4 hundred.  Haha, we got the bid cancelled but he still had a nightmare about it.  We can laugh about it now.  I think he learned his lesson about checking a few times before pressing enter when he's bidding..and about the extra zeros and stuff.  haha.  My father.  The best.

"Why's he wearing a suit?" -Kier

"Probably going to a quesadilla." -Mom
"I think you mean Quinceanera.  Racist." -Me
HAHAHA.  Again with the different words.  But this one had me laughing for a really long time.  Quesadilla. smh.  Yes, the kid was Mexican and it was a Saturday afternoon.. so I guess she did have a valid point.

"Was there anything wrong with that monkey bread?" -Sam

"It was probably just hard. Why?"-Cole
"I may have eaten some out of the garbage." -Sam
REALLY?! Most people throw things in the trash so they don't eat them.  I do this.  Why? Because I don't eat shiz out of the trash so If I don't want to eat more of something, I throw it away.  Or I throw it out because, I don't know.. it's bad.  Not Sam.  The kid literally ate some of the Monkey Bread I threw away in the trash.  haha

yeah. I cannot.

"Ok, maybe I can be an Indian only on the weekends."
-Nieko
Alright so he's not REALLY going to do this.  We were just talking about a vid that Nieko watched and were coming up with crazy ideas.  But if you get the chance, watch the video about the guy on "My Crazy Obsession" who is obsessed with mermaids.  You guys, the dude really has a tail and goes and swims in the open water like he's a merman.  He can even hold his breath for like 4 minutes or something.  He was serious too, which we don't get.

You'll have to excuse us, we are just really intrigued by people like this.  Like, we don't get it.

*note.. If you have a weird obsession like this, I'm sorry for making fun of you.. but I feel like you have to just get used to it.  In all seriousness.  Somethings people just don't understand, and this mermaid thing is one of them. Oh, but we did decided that we would of course still love you...while still thinking it's weird.

Mermaids. smh.

"This trip might have topped New York."
-Easton
This is just me officially calling him out for having so much fun with out us.  As if that is even possible. *insert overly dramatic cackle.*  Glad you had so much fun on your "Mancation" though.

"Please bless you're open, please bless you're open."
-Kier about Zepe's at 10:00 at night
"You're calling them?" -me
"Yeah.  I pay my tithing." -Kier ... 2 seconds later while the phone is ringing
"My phone died." -Kier
Hi Kier, this is the universe saying "SCREW YOU!"

Hahaha. It really was the funniest.  lesson learned:  Just because you pay your tithing, it doesn't mean places that sell delicious treats will stay open all hours of the night just for you.

Unfortunately.

BABIES.

Remember how I posted in my New Year's post that 2013 was going to be a big year?  Boy, was I right.  It wasn't very long ago that I received a phone call from my high school BFF, McKenzie, letting me know she was pregnant!  I was so excited.  Jealous a little of course because now she's not only TWO steps ahead of me (you know, the man being the first step) but now to have a baby on the way? Just crazy!  But mostly I'm just SO excited to meet that cute baby in September.  Because, we all know that baby will be precious.

The fun didn't stop when the next day I learned that I was one two pee sticks away from finding out that my bestie Savanna was pregnant too. Yes, we were totally texting while she waited for the test to work so she could go out and tell B that they were having a baby.  It was a precious moment.  Anyways, baby Taylor is coming the next month in October.  Favorite month, favorite people, adorable baby (But like seriously, that kid is going to have the darkest, best skin.  for real.)  Yes, yes and yes!

But really... My other best friends growing up are also having babies this year.  Kelli in May and Megan in July.  It's one thing to watch your friends get married to the loves of their lives but it's even better to watch them start their families and be all...old and stuff.  Hahaha.  It's fun. So many babies this year!

Now we just need to find out what Kenzington and SavyB are having because, guess what? Someone got a sewing machine for Easter.  So yeah, I'll totally be that single friend who gets major points for being alone and awesome and sewing cute things for these babies.  People will be all "omg, you're the cutest." and I'll be like. "ohh.. it's nothing" but deep down I'll be like, "I made that shiz, I MADE that!" yeah, that's about how it will go down.  I better start practicing and remembering the Gma Hansen sewing skills.

Gotta "wow" the people somehow, I suppose.  You know, since my uterus doesn't have a baby in it like everyone else this year;)

But  really, I'm so excited for them and can hardly wait to meet those babes!!
Official Congrats to the Andrus' and the Taylors :)

Easter.

We've all had moments where something happens and we know that our lives will never be the same.  I love these moments.  Sure, everything  we do plays a part in our future and the person we become, I really do believe that.  BUT, I'm talking about those few moments in life where something happens and you know, right then and there, that you will never be the same.

It's those moments where you meet someone new, you have a special bonding moment with a person you care about, you're introduced to a new way of thinking, or even those moments spent saying goodbye to someone you care about or when you finally decide to forgive and let go of  something that was once painful... No matter the case, my favorite part about these moments (even though some are sad and hard to get through) is the strength and positive energy that comes from them in the end.

I had one of these moments yesterday.

Anyone who really knows me understands that I talk to my mother at LEAST 2 times a day.  And you guys, that's low ballin.  I would say my average is 3-4.  Anyways, since I moved out at 18, that's just been the way  it's been.  Mom would then, of course, tell dad what was up.  That's just how it went.  It wasn't that I didn't love my father, we just don't really talk on the phone.  But I always knew that he knew what my mom knew. I guess you can say that there is a difference in the relationship I have with my mom and dad.  I don't love my dad any less than I love my mother, I just talk to her more.. you get the point.

Ever since my parents have been empty-nesters and especially since Mason was born (almost 2 years ago) I've noticed that my dad has gotten softer and I.love.it.  I still don't talk to him on the phone a ton but we FaceTime occasionally and we do more things together when we visit.  It's funny.

This weekend Mom and Dad came down just to hang out for Easter weekend.  Dad cooked for us, played cards with us, went to the movies, played basketball, wanted to go Bowling.... it was just the best weekend.  We ate a lot of crap, which I regret but it was just so much fun.

Sunday before my parents left I asked my Dad if he would give me a blessing.  I didn't want to ask him but I've been really struggling with some things lately and I just knew that I needed to swallow my pride and finally ask. (plus, it's better than asking your 19 year old home teacher who would have no clue what you're going through.. right)  Well, I'm pretty sure I cried the rest of the morning.  But it was good.  I was able to open up to my father about things that I haven't said out loud to anyone before.  I talked about my worries, my temptations, my struggles, my heartaches.. all of it.  And while it was all happening, I had one of those "moments."

Now, I've only seen my dad REALLY cry a few times... but "the moment" happened as he started to cry and tell me about his love for the gospel and for his children and how he thinks about us all the time and worries about me and wants the best for me.  I won't go into deep details about what was said because it was such a sweet moment but I know that I will never forget it.  My love for him grew even more.  I didn't think that was possible.

I know that my dad (and mom) are concerned for me and that they love their children so much.  I'm not a parent so I can't even understand how hard it must be to see a child struggle but I am so grateful for them.  It couldn't have happened on a better day, actually, because I was able to really compare and reflect on my relationship with my Heavenly Father and how he must have felt when His son came to Earth and suffered every pain, temptation, heartache and trial that exists.  Even in those weak moments where we think we are alone, we aren't.  Not only do we have the love and support of an earthly family and friends, but we have a Savior who has been EXACTLY where we've been and felt exactly how we've felt.

I love Easter and the time we get to spend with family and reflect on the Savior and all of the blessings we really do have.

I'm sure these moments happen all the time, I'm just not sure if we're always paying attention...

Other wise/simple words from Tracy:

"Don't be so hard on yourself. You're doing just a good as everyone else."
"If you don't want to do something, don't do it. (vice versa)"

I haven't felt more at peace with certain things for a long time... I have my Father(s) to thank for that :)

Today is a good day. Plus, i'm pretty sure all of the crying yesterday morning gave my skin this weird glow.  Maybe it's the new BB Cream.  Whatever.  I'm liking today ;)
