I was thinking this morning about all of the time I'm going to have when Cole moves out for the summer. It's both good and bad I guess. I mean, aside from my OCD and slight obsession with cleaning, I really don't think I will have to spend as much time cleaning when it's just me living in the house. Less cooking too, because, let's be honest...cooking for one person sucks. I will probably have more "me" time too, meaning that I will maybe be able to read more, watch less TV, go for walks, and maybe even get to bed earlier? It could happen. Oh and groceries will be less expensive too...
Yeah, I'm totally trying to make it sound better than it really is...It will probably be hecka boring. BOO.....BS. (sorry, had to do it)
I just can't believe that it's almost April and that Cole will be heading out in a few weeks to be gone for like, 4 months:( I'm a little nervous about the whole thing but I'm super excited to see what he's made of and for the opportunities that it could bring to his life and the learning experience it will be for him. Either way; It will be good.
I guess i'm being a little selfish because I remember what it was like over a year ago and living by myself and it was awful. But honestly, I'm going to go into it this time with an open mind because really, when I lived by myself before I had ZERO friends in the area. So there you go. I have friends now, I have a job... this could be really good for my soul, don't you think?
The only thing I might need while he's gone is someone to check on me every now and then to make sure that I'm not dead or something. And no, I'm not referring to the ghost that I swear makes random visits to my apt sometimes. ew. That could be a issue; We'll see. Anyways, I'm just ranting. All in all, I'm happy for Coleman and Easton and I really am excited for the summer to get here!
I think this is just one of those moments that could be super scary because it's a big change but you just have to hunker down because, ready or not...it's coming!
Change is good.
Stay tuned for more updates over the next few months. Last time I went through a "craft phase" with my extra time. Maybe I will do that again...we'll see :)

Wednesday's Words of the Week
"You guys look important....Are you important? -Girl at Hunger Games premier to Liz and Me.
"No." -instant response from liz.
hold up. Ok, we are important people but just because we are sitting behind a table at the entrance of the theater, doesn't mean we work there or something. Do we look like we're dressed to work at the theater? I don't think so. But Liz, we ARE important. Just not the kind of important that the lady thought we were.
"What will I do without you this summer?!"
-Easton
Seriously? Presh. We've decided that we will have to 1.) have a Canadian update every once and a while on the blog and 2.) SKYPE!!! Thank goodness for skype...Imma miss the brother and that boy.
"They're smoking in a CAMRY!"
-Vicky
We were stuck in traffic on the way down to the Festival of Colors and there was a lot of traffic down south. Well, we ended up being stopped on the Freeway behind someone who decided they would lite a little cig. Vicky got ticked. Not really because they were smoking and we had to breathe it in but because she was so distraught as to why someone would be smoking in such a "nice car" as a Camry. Really? A Camry? bahahaha. I don't think I will ever let Vicky live this one down. I can still hear her saying this in my head. In fact, every time I see a Camry I will probably think this. So funny.
"Is somebody having a BBQ on the freeway?"
-Liz
Really, Liz? Did you not see the houses on the side of the Freeway? haha. Ok, it did smell like a BBQ, and I'm not saying that it wouldn't be freaking awesome to have a legit BBQ on the Freeway. But pretty sure that would be illegal or something? ha!
"Wear a hat. Or a pioneer bonnet or something; Just do what you've got to do."
-Mom not really feeling sorry for me and the fact that my hair was GREEN from the F.O.C
She really thought that it was so funny that I had green hair and had to go to church that way. Her suggestion to wear a hat or a BONNET to church? Yeah right. People would stare like a bajillion times more. I know there was nothing that she could do being so far away but come on. Thanks for the advice and encouragement, MOM! haha. I love her.
"This is like, one of those days you'll never forget."
-Vicky about the festival of colors said in the most SERIOUS way you can imagine.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Crazy Vicky, Vic. You're right. I.will.NEVER.forget it. *Tear*
"I really don't know if you're being serious right now."
-Ricky in reference to my alleged "Prescription drug problem."
I'm convinced that I'm a really good actress because I can really make people believe certain things. I mean, I'm not a liar by nature but when it comes to a good joke? If I set my mind to it.. I can be pretty convincing :) P.s I REALLY don't have a problem, K?! Maybe we should switch to a new joke before rumors start spreading and I end up with the Situation in rehab or something.
"When I wear my speedo..It's hard for girls around me to have pure thoughts."
-Kid in Sunday school on the topic of modesty.
ew. really, kid? Who says this in church or at all, for that matter? Speedos are kind of gross and that kid would be gross in one which would NOT cause me to have impure thoughts.. more like it would cause me to vomit uncontrollably. Just saying.
"People just don't get us."
-Nieko
Really though. I'm pretty sure we say this to each other on a monthly basis. haha.
"What's going on? Why is the cast of the Social Network in our apartment?"
"You might think you look better but in reality you just look like a skank." -girl in Sunday school about immodesty
"OH GEEZ." -me
You know it's one of those moments when you don't mean to say something out loud but it comes out EXTRA loud. Yeah. It happened. People starred. But let's get serious. JUST because you wear a tank top in public doesn't mean you're a skank. Get real.
"I love being around dramatic Jennifer. She's very entertaining."
-Nieko
I've somehow obtained this rep for being super dramatic. This weekend I paid a little more attention to these accusations and yeah, people aren't really exaggerating. I'm dramatic when it comes to, well, a lot of things. Get over it. Love me or hate me, right?
Ok Bonus #1 for this week that I still can't get over to this day? Three Words--
"Burp. Sneeze. Fart."
I still stick with my case that I don't think it's possible to do all three at the same time and I still agree that it's one of the most disgusting things I've heard a girl admit she can do... no offense to any girl who claims they can do that but REALLY?! wow
Bonus #2 because technically this was last week but my sister told me to pay attention to the chalk board in Jess' classroom on last week's episode of the New Girl and it was SO funny. She was teaching Sex Ed to her Students. It read:
Alternatives For Intercourse--
Get to know a neighbor
Write a Convict
Meet a friend for decaf
Watch Friday Night Lights
bahahhaha. If you understand her personality on the show then you can really see her saying those things and it's so funny. But really? I'm sure those things would really work for teens these days...write a convict. smh. HA!
"No." -instant response from liz.

A Peeta Tribute. ( Pun TOTALLY intended.)
I know that your Facebook feed is probably OVER FLOWING with all of the Hunger Games madness but get real...this stuff is good!
I love Peeta in the book and loved the book in general but watching it all come to life in the movie last night, OMG. Sure, there are a few things that I was like, "say what?!" But again, we know that not everything in the book can be the EXACT same in the movie, so I get it. It will just be interesting to see how they make a few things all come together in the second movie that they left out or changed in this first one. But I will say that during the movie I kept having deja vu because it was really how I imagined a lot of it when I read the book (within reason of course). Setting the book aside I just think they just did a really good job! I will be buying it and I kind of want to go again right now.. so that says a lot, I think.
But honestly, let's talk "PEETA." My friend Liz and I could barely contain ourselves through the entire thing. I swear we were the only people in our theater who were beyond freaking out, but we didn't care. This is pretty much what you would have heard from us if you were sitting next to us.
"Oh my gosh, he's so hot."
"UGH, he's hot."
"OMG,...he's so hot."
x's like, a BILLION.
Throw in a few gasps, a whole lot of covering of the mouth, a pinch of crying and a lot of me elbowing Liz from all the freakage and that about sums it all up.
Thank you, Liz for being extra excited with me :)
Yes, I know I'm 24 and he's probably ridiculously younger...but read the book, see him in the movie, and then try to tell me that he isn't a little cutie! I guess it's because if you've read the book you just feel so connected to him and you know how he feels and UGH, I just love, LOVE! Peeta. Katniss. love.
And the cave scene? gah. Don't EVEN get me and Liz started. Sure, they could have heated it up a little bit but it was GOOD. mm.. better in the book of course, but we were dying!
Just go see the movie. It's good.
Oh and if you already saw it... did you catch that Esther from "the Orphan" is one of the Tributes?! A career to be exact. bahaha. We have a little joke in our group of Friends about Liz being creepy Esther so when I saw her I was like "that looks like Esther!" and it was. yeah.. she creeped me out the entire movie. That girl hasn't aged a bit in real life. And if you've seen the Orphan, you know how much creepier that makes her. *shiver*
So here's a little picture tribute to Peeta. (Thank you for letting me be a crazy girl for a minute!) Type in Peeta in Pinterest and SHOOT! pretty sure I just spent 10 minutes of my lunch break up in there just now!
Ok, and am I the only one that adored the parts about the Bread in the movie?!? Be still my heart.
Ok Seriously!? This one is my Fave:
Ok and Sorry, I had to do this one. TOO funny not too. Peeta and Katniss--BAHAHA
Yep. This is the pic Liz and I decided on for my iPhone background. Sorry Zac--you will return in a week or so :)
Ok. I just looked it up. He's 5 years younger than me. SHOOT. ha. oh well, PEETA!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday's Witty Words of the Week
"I'm sexy and I know it."
-Jamie
I know this is just a line from one of the most OVER PLAYED songs in America right now. But seeing my sister randomly bust out in song and dance while on facetime to this song..classic.
"Micah. Your thing is so HUGE!"-Amy, coworker
"Whaaaat??" -Micah.
She was talking about his instant messenger on his computer screen but of course it came out COMPLETELY wrong. haha. classic.
"What exactly do you do at your job again? Something with Green Cards?" -Vicky
*later that night...*
"REALLY!?? -vicky (thinking that I lived across the street from my high school growing up when I was CLEARLY talking about college)
"Wow. You don't know Jenn at ALL." -Nieko
Ok, first...GREEN CARDS? really? bahahaha. And who doesn't know that I grew up on a farm? I mean, that's basically common knowledge. Silly, Vicky. Are we for real friends? j/k j/k
"You almost got strucken!"....
"I’m taking cover. I saw the Wizard of Oz, I don’t want to be like Dorothy, up swinging all over the freaking sky with my dog and stuff."
-Deena
hahahahaha. She's so ridiculous. I love it.
"Speaking of [va]gina's, did you hear about..."
-Dad
I think I said something about said body part and then my dad instantly said this. Three funny things about it 1.) Who says GINA instead of the real word or vajayjay or something? 2.) He said it in front of Cole's g/f the first time he met her and 3.) He was talking about a boy. HAHAHA. cracks.me.up.
"Don't play with your balls." -Jamie
"Sorry." -cole
bahahaha ok, she was really talking to Mason who she was giving a bath in the sink and Cole instantly responded from across the room. He said it like he was so guilty. I.was.dying. So funny. ps--please don't think our family is super disgusting or something. We aren't THAT bad. It just happened that there were two comments like that this weekend and of course they were super funny. I mean, come on...You can't say balls without it being a little funny.
"Will you go put the cinnamon rolls in?" -me to Jamie who was sleeping on the couch while I was feeding her baby a bottle.
"He's [Mason] to little to start the oven." -Jamie
haha. yeah, like I was really asking the 9 month old baby to so start the oven and put the cinnamon rolls in. haha. get real. Get up off the couch, sister!!
"I look like a sour patch kid."
-vicky.
I told her that I don't know what kind of "dolls" she had growing up but I had CABBAGE patch kid dolls. Not that I'm judging or anything. Sour patch kids are good too. haha.
"We are so funny. How are they even concentrating on playing their game?"
-Amanda to me
It's true. We can be pretty funny sometimes.
"Chase me, Chase me."
-Jamie, Easton
Thanks a lot,Jamie for telling Easton our family inside joke/make fun of Jenn moment because now Easton says this to me. I guess he's basically my brother these days but still. It's embarrassing a little but whatever. I was a weird child, I'll admit it! haha.
"I'm not stealing from the church. That would be an all time low for me..that's an all time low for you even suggesting it."
-Chris to Amanda about her suggesting that he steal the stuffed cat/rat/beast looking toy.
Ok. So we couldn't figure out what the stuffed animal actually was. But she told him that he should take it. hahaha. You didn't hear it from me but I saw him stuff it in his coat just to be "funny" but I secretly think he really wanted it. That thing was fugly. We spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out what animal it really was. see? totally FUG.
"We all have our flaws." -me
"Well I have cankles and I'm bald and I just don't think that's fair... I'm fabulously Average." -Alex
Can I just say that I love this kid!? He really wasn't complaining about his flaws we were just going off and laughing at life. I agree though, Alex, we're totally fabulously average and I'm OK with that!! Life is good.
"Where have you been that you're already brown?!" -Consultant at work in front of people attending a seminar here at corporate.
"um. The Tanning Salon.." -me
embarrassing. but what a nice compliment, DIANE. She thought I'd gone on some kind of vacation and really I have... It's called 18 minutes once or twice a week at Tanning Oasis in Layton, UT. haha. pathetic. I think I need a real vacation.

I just don't get people sometimes...
I don't know how many times in the last month that I've said something like, "I just don't get people." The truth to that is that I really do understand people but I just don't get why people would CHOOSE to do some of the bizarre things that they do. Here are just some of the people I'm talking about:
People who hate people for no reason...
People who hate people for no reason...
I don't get it. It's like, what did these people do to make you hate them so much? I've seen pictures of you on FB, I know that you really can smile and that you aren't for reals possessed with that perma-B look. I'm sure those people probably don't like you either but it's probably solely because you were running your mouth saying you hated them in the first place. Get over yourself. Smile.
People who lie and are shady..
I've had quite a few really close friends do this to me in my lifetime. It's a tough one because the lies aren't usually that big of a deal, yet, at the same time it makes it hard to take them seriously or to trust them and makes it EXTRA easy to get annoyed with that other person. Believe me. I get that it's uncomfortable to admit certain things to people you love and care about but if someone asks you something and you make up some way around the truth....that's not being a good friend. Sure, I have plenty of things that I keep to myself ( or a select few) but if someone sincerely came to me asking a specific question about themselves and I had some kind of a problem, I would have to tell them if I thought it was going to make a difference. That goes for anything. If people ask you what you are doing, just tell them the truth. It's way better that way. People aren't stupid. If you lie. or tell the half truth..people will find out and they will talk about you. Fact of life.
People who only care about themselves (or rarely show otherwise)...
This one just makes me sad. I've seen some people who only care about themselves to the extent that they lose their closest friends because of it. Fact. People like to be shown that they are loved and that people care about them. Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives that we forget that other people around us (that we love very much) are going through things 10 times worse than whatever mini drama we are having that week. Here's a little tip. Stop thinking about yourself for one day and thinking about the relationships you have with your family members, g/f's, b/f's or BFF's. Are you making them a priority or are you mega sucking at that part of life? Take a break from looking at yourself for a minute and just talk to the people you love and show them that you care. Save those relationships before you lose them.
Boring people...
I'll admit, I love staying home by myself some nights doing a big, fat nothing but that rarely happens because I am constantly surrounded by people or doing this and that. But whatever I do, I ALWAYS try to commit to it. If I go out, I don't complain that I'd rather be at home or doing something else. I might for a second but then I CHOOSE to make it fun, exciting or at least worth my time. Yes, life can't always be fun and you can't always be happy, and lots of crappy things happen to good people all the time, but why can't we just celebrate life? People often tell me that I'm loud. This is a true statement. They also tell me I'm immature...Also a fact sometimes. But I like to think that I make whatever situation I'm in a good one. Yes, I have break downs. Yes, I cry. Yes, I get sad. But at the end of the day, life is good and I CHOOSE to be around people who are interesting and exciting. People I can have good conversations with and people who aren't boring. the end.
Self-Righteous people...
I know this one is probably taboo around here but let's talk about it for a minute. The fact of life is that not all people have the same brain. In fact, EACH of us have a different one. This isn't breaking news. I don't care if you belong to this church, that church or no church. Whatever the case is, we all have our own thoughts about life, what is right and wrong, and how we choose to live our life. Sure, we sometimes don't understand why other people don't see eye-to-eye with what we believe in but have you ever thought that the other person we are saying that about is probably equally confused as to why we believe what we believe and why we do the things that we do? I'm a firm believer in sharing your faith and testimony of what you believe with other's who might not be of your faith or to people who you think might be having a hard time but I think that there are some people who cross the line with it--People who don't practice what they preach and people who just act like they are above other people. Please don't make people feel that way. If you see a problem with decisions someone is making and you're worried about a friend I think that you can absolutely tell them about your concerns and that you care about them. But once you've done that, you have to let them make their own decisions. The best thing that you can do after you've expressed love and concern is to live the lifestyle you are preaching about in the best way that you can without making anyone else feel bad about themselves.
I'm sure that each of us have fallen into one of these categories at one point in our lives but we don't have to be these people. These things aren't good and deep down.. people don't like these kind of people. I mean, even if YOU are selfish, a liar, or are boring sometime1s, I'm sure that you still complain about people who do those exact same things that you are guilty of at some point. So I guess that's why I don't get some people.. because they ARE the people that they hate the most. WE'RE better than that.
Today is the first day of spring..why don't we do a little spring cleaning of the soul. Take a self evaluation this week--If you find yourself falling into one of these categories, try to make it a goal to work on it a little. What could it hurt!?
Happy Spring!

I love Surprises.
I seriously was almost in tears when we heard a knock on the door and saw Mason sitting on the door step. We were excited for Mom and Dad to come to Utah for the weekend but had NO CLUE that Jamie and Mason were coming with. I.was.in.nephew.heaven.
I mean, LOOK at him. (I'm sorry, if you are friends with me on fb then you have already been bombarded with most of these pics)
We had such a fun weekend with the family. I held mason all weekend long. Fed him snacks, played with him and laughed with him. It's so funny how fast babies grow. At Christmas the kid could barely sit up on his own and now he eats snacks, makes lots of noises (tells me stories) and army crawls everywhere he goes!! He's so much fun. I can't believe he turns one in June. I have a car all picked out for him for his birthday. Don't worry. The boy isn't spoiled...much.
Aside from Mason it was just good to have our family together. We missed James and Regan though :( But we went shopping, ate out way to much and just had such a fun time all around. My mom and my sister are my best friends so it was just so nice to be with people who genuinely love me for me. There's nothing better than family, I tell ya! And my Dad is just so funny. OH YEAH and they all got to meet Ariana. I don't think she is running away. I mean, I know we're crazy but we're pretty awesome. They loved her, of course.
The only bad part of the weekend (aside from sleeping on the small couch/floor which was totally worth it to have them all here) was having to see them leave yesterday. I just wish we all lived closer together. Jamie's response to this every time is "Move back home." I know, I know. I think about it all of the time. I just love my family. I get so jealous of all of my friends here.. not because they live at home, because that time has passed for me, but because they get to see their family everyday. Thank goodness for cell phones and facetime :)
Come back soon mi familia!

Mexican Stuffed Shells
I finally made a blog recipe that I LOVE. Check it. Mexican Stuffed Shells from here. If you don't already follow "The Girl who Ate Everything Blog"...then you should start now. Mine might not have been as pretty as her pic...
But they were equally delicious, I'm sure! Why? Because the recipe was so easy, I don't see how you could mess it up :)

2.) They are actually really filling! Try it out.

Wednesday's Witty Words of the Week
"No. I'm Sitting by the black girl so ...I'm between two bad things."
-Nieko
I contemplated putting this on here because I didn't want people to think that we are racist. but we're not. Simply stated. I didn't want Nieko to have to sit by the trash can. And of course, he instantly came back with something witty but totally a joke because we all love Vicky...and black people in general :) You know that right Vicky? We do. I don't care what that stupid Harvard test showed about us. We love you! haha.
"A Bonjo. A Bango?"
-Snooki
I love that she not only didn't know how to say BANJO but that she really wanted to put this on their list of "camping supplies." classic snooki.
"You look like you're ready for the prom" -Nieko
"I'm old enough!" -Brandi
I love that she can joke about her age with us! Actually... none of us really tease her about it very often but we all know that she's young. It's just one of those things that doesn't need to be mentioned now because she's so cool that it doesn't matter. That and she's dating Easton so if we didn't like her, we'd have told him/her by now! Dear Brandi--we don't care that you're young. We love you!
"You don't want to meet number 2."
-Crazy kid
I kid you not. I met a kid hanging out this weekend who randomly started talking about his multiple personalities. Four of them to be exact. Don't worry. Typical me, trying to make things less awkward but probably making it worse, did the monologue by Mary Catherine Gallagher in Superstar. You know. The confessional? For those of you who haven't seen Superstar..it's one of my top 5 favorite movies so you should probably watch it. Here's the part I'm talking about...the moment couldn't have been more perfect.
*please note the first minute of this clip below is the part i'm talking about. Keep watching the next 45 seconds for another one of my favorite parts that has nothing to do with the crazy multiple personalites I'm referring too:)
bhahahaha. cray, right? I'm only a little sure that this kid was joking. He mostly just creeped me out. This whole thing that night led to other comments like this--
"Hey--Schitzo!"
-Vicky
bahahahaha. leave it to her to call him this to his face.
"Goodnight."
-#1
Pretty sure this saying will never be the same.
"Have you ever seen a black girl before?"
-I think we all said this at one point.
Nieko wanted Vicky to say this to people at the party we went too.. haha. I don't think she did it to any randoms but can you imagine? So funny.
"Get rid of it. Pine has no place in this loft"
"This thing makes me emotionally nauseous."
-Schmidt, New Girl.
This episode was so funny because I totally have some of the weirdest quirks that he has on the show. A little OCD. It's like me with trinkets or clutter. I can't handle it. Just like he really couldn't handle that pine hutch being in his loft or things being out of place. Emotionally nauseous? I feel ya, man. haha.
"I guess [when giving a talk] it's better to be dehydrated than over hydrated... That was a close call."
-Speaker at Church
This joker got up and was almost running out of the chapel during the rest hymn RIGHT before he had to get up and speak. We all knew where he was going. I mean, the kid looked like he was going to pee his pants. I don't think I've ever seen a guy do that. Girls on the other hand....haha.
"No. Jenn. I need to go first. GET OUT!!"
-Liz
See--Told you so! I'm glad I'm not the only one this happens too. What a super funny night.
"eeeeeik eeik eeik eeik eeik eeik"
-Amanda
Yes, she laughs like a dolphin sometimes. Yes, it's a little awkward when we are with new people and it happens when everyone else is silent. Yes, her caller id photo on my phone is of a dolphin.
-Nieko

Mind blowing.
I like to do weekly (sometimes daily) checks of my life to see where I'm at and just to stop and think, "How did I get here?" and "Where am I going next?" I've had the conversation with multiple people in the last week about how we got to the exact moment we were in having that exact conversation. It went a little like this..
I know you already know this but I don't think it's until you really sit down and think about it that it really starts to blow your mind..
The fact of the matter is that every decision you make in life not only plays a huge part in where you get in life but it plays a part in the people you meet, the lessons you learn, and the things you do because of those people you meet and the other people you meet because you met a certain person. Whoa. Mind blowing yet? Let's take a trip to the past.
Sophomore year, high school--Went on a college trip to BYU-Idaho. Loved it. (of course you're going to have to factor in all of the decisions made by other people to get me to the point of living in Parma and going to school at that exact moment so I could even make the decision to go on that one college trip where I decided that would be the college I attend..but this blog post would be a BILLION pages long if we did that. So we won't. Back to it.) High school BFF--Hyrum and Kelli who were a year older than me. Fast forward a few years. Hyrum and Kelli go to BYU-Idaho leaving me to finish my Senior year of High School. Hyrum mentions me living with his older sister Savanna (a senior in college) and Kelli for my first semester while he was on his mission. Became instant bff's with sav. eventually met multiple people through her. namely Alex. Fast forward through many decisions and dramas to my college graduation. Because of the decisions my sister made I was able to move in with her to SLC where I began searching for a job and found my job. Sister's new BF lived in Kaysville (factor in all the decisions he had to have made to get him to that point.) End up moving in with sister's BF further north for a month or so until I find my own place. Decide to get an apartment in Layton to be closer to them since they were getting married at the end of the summer and so I could be closer to Alex would would be living in Ogden all of August. Go to the SW Single's ward with Alex because he had a mission buddy that went to that ward and quite frankly, I didn't have any other friends here. EVENTUALLY made some friends. Continued going to that ward even though it wasn't my assigned ward. Cole moved in. Started hanging out with people from ward/SW together. Tried to move to salt lake to be closer to work. Got the STRONGEST feeling I shouldn't..sick to my stomach even. (thank goodness I listened.) Fast forward a year and you can account for relationships, deep friendships, trips, conversations, many laughs and good times [yada yada]..all of which would have never happened if each person didn't make all of the choices that they made to get them to that point. phew.
Ever think you don't matter in someone else's life? or that the things you do are insignificant? Think again. The decision to buy a new car or move into an apartment could determine who you meet and maybe eventually fall in love with. And that group of friends you have right now might not even exist if you didn't make the decisions you made to get you to that place. If you didn't have a hard time and decide to move back in with your parents, where would you be? If you were still dating that one guy what would you be missing out on? what lessons would you have learned? Who would you be? If you would have decided to not give that 'crazy person' a chance...then what?
See? I mean, I could go on.
I don't know about you but I think that we all need to be grateful for the opportunity we have to make our own decisions. But I think the lesson in all of this is that we have to remember how important it is to make smart choices because they don't just effect your life and the person you become but they play a huge role in the people you meet and in each of their lives as well.
Is your mind blown yet? If not..just think about your life. How did you get to this EXACT spot in this exact moment, reading THIS blog?
Like Whoa, right? Let's just assume that each of you reading is a friend or a family member of mine. To you people--I'm SO glad that we are friends/family or even frienemies. I've learned lessons from each of you and you've made me the person I am today.
Today is the beginning of a new week. The sun is shining, the clocks are set forward to give us longer days--it's beautiful! Now, let's go out and make good decisions so we can keep meeting all the right people and learning all the right lessons we need to be learning!
Life is crazy. Life is beautiful.
In the words of Drake..
"You only live once, that's the motto--YOLO."
so make it a good one. not a boring or dull one.
Here's to making it count!

Wednesday's Witty Words of the Week
"OK that's just weird. You don't have birthday's for cats."
-Wendy, coworker
Right, Wendy, cat people are weird. You don't have birthday's for cats just like you don't spend over $3,000 on a mutant cat breed called a "Ragaper." hahaha. Oh Wendy.
"Pretty sure we're the only ones who talk and laugh when we are in this car. Why don't people have as much energy as us?" -Nieko
"I don't know?! We're pretty funny." -Me
I'm not sure if it's because we were previously bored but we had a ton of energy at the end of that night and people were falling asleep on us. It's like... get fun, you know? laugh.
"I’m just so good with women, there definitely should be a butter named after me because I’m so smooth."
-Mike the "Situation"
PUHLEASE. newsflash--you're super ugly. I don't think you "get" women because you are smooth or that you are just naturally skilled or something. I do think, however, that there are two factors that play into this "SMOOTH" thing you're talking about 1.) You're on a TV show that makes you famous [even if you are a UD..{Ultimate Douche} and 2.) Sluts don't care who they hook up with. obvi. Like I said...YOU UGGGGGLY. There's nothing smooth about that. Or your STD's.
...Good with women. smh.
"If I was a freak, I'd totally travel with the state fair."
-Amanda
I think we were reminiscing about the half women/half snake lady that we saw at the fair last summer or something.. I don't know. But I can totally see Amanda being the person who would want to travel with the fair..hahaha!
"So you're normally more pasty white than this?"
-He Who Shall Not Be Named, coworker
You know those people who could say anything and even if it's a joke it's still super annoying to you? Yeah. well I was mad about this comment for like, the entire day after leaving P.F Chang's for our team lunch. Like, if it wasn't wildly inappropriate for multiple reasons I would have shown him my sticker mark right there in the restaurant. Nevertheless, I don't need to prove anything to him. but boy, I wanted too. I wanted too. hahaha. dummy.
"I want sugar." -Jenn
"I want Vodka; Neither of us can have what we want right now." -Nieko
hahaha. Don't worry. He was kidding. And we totally went the sugar route *DUH* We felt trapped that night BUT we are living proof that you can make any situation a good time :)
"[Willy] Stop. You're going to make me pee."
-Bradlee
You know those head massagers that you can buy at Urban or whatever? Well apparently when Brad is relaxed he pees. Weird. Granted I was giving him a back massage as well? nope. Still weird. haha. I know what you're thinking "Said the girl who has peed her pants from laughing or being scared in front of her friends." Get over it. I'm weird too.
"I don’t know what’s going on, I just feel like I’m psychic half the time and I got feelings."
-Sammi "Sweetheart."
Ok. I think this might be the first time I've quoted Sammi..1.) She hasn't said more than 2 words this season and 2.) she's normally not funny, stupid or anything for that matter. But hey...she's psychic and she has feelings:) You go, girl *sarcastic thumbs up*
"UGH. You just love love..."
-Easton
haha. The story to this one is super long. Let's just say--even though this one ended with a big old battle wound on his back...we are still really good friends! Lessons learned 1.) Don't overreact to something a good friend says unless you clarify what they mean. 2.) always chase after a friend who is upset so they know you care and 3.) NEVER dive into a dark room filled with Relief Society Chairs ;)
"Um question? Are we going to get a big bunny?"
-Amanda
Even a couple of days after introducing her to the giant bunny (which happens to be a total nightmare to me) she was still serious about wanting one. Don't know what I'm talking about? GIMF. They are real. And no, Amanda, we aren't getting one of these:
*Shiver* hahaha
"Jenn, have you been saying "Ship" a lot today or something? Because there have been a couple of times that I've thought I heard you swear."-Micah, coworker I RARELY talk to.
"uhhhhh. I haven't said that word today, no." -Jenn
"Just checking. I didn't think you were that kind of girl."
-Micah
BAHAHAHAHA. First of all, I rarely talk to this man so I don't see how he thinks he knows me or why he would even ask me about anything i've ever said. Second of all...the rest of the conversation just got really uncomfortable because my manager (who isn't a member of our church) responded "What is that supposed to mean?" Yeah. He awkwardly came up with a response that wouldn't offend her but ended up making it seem like for a second I was the kind of person that would swear in the work place or something? YIKES. But don't worry. I was totally saying the word SHIP, I swear!! I mean. I didn't swear. haha. whatev.
"One month of dating friends equals a lifetime of awkwardness."
-Wendy, coworker
haha. oh geez. Let's just not hope THAT ones true. uhhhh...?

Don't make it Awkward
Guaranteed you've seen all of those "The awkward moment when" posts because heck, they are all over Facebook and Pinterest these days. I can also guarantee that you've found yourself relating to one or two of them...
I like to use the saying "nothing is awkward unless you make it awkward." Some people would disagree with that but believe me...I've been a lot of situations that, when closely examined, would be deemed ridiculously awkward, but for some reason I have this gift of turning things around in that exact moment of potential awkwardness.
For example.
Sometimes my hands do really weird things without my brain's knowledge. ie..playing with the padding on one of Victoria's Secrets (IF you know what I mean). I don't mean anything by it. honest. It's like "hey, I'm bored. play the drums. whatev." But uh. Not whatev when a guy friend catches you doing it for a split second in Walmart after midnight and calls you out on it... See. Potentially awkward? Yes. For me? Not so much. I just turn it around on them and laugh. Like "uh. You'd play with it too if wore one." I mean if you can get both parties to laugh about a situation that could be awkward then it automatically becomes un-awkward.
Whatever the situation is. accept it. Shake it off. laugh about it. don't make it awkward in any way. just...move on!

Go away winter!
As much as I love saturdays where I can sleep in, read, clean, breathe and do basically anything I want and look like this...
...I sure do wish the sun would come out and the grass would get green so I could go and do all of this stuff outside and probably still not care how hideous I look.
no make up. mcnasty hair. same sweatshirt I wore yesterday... yeah. gross.
But I don't even care.
Boo winter. I'm over you already!

Not sure how we ever had fun before this boy was born?
Sometimes he doesn't.
I don't blame him.
He cracks me up all days.
He cracks me up all days.
Love my Mason Boy.
