One thing I've learned in my many years of being classified as an "LDS single" is that in the midst of all the suckage (which is about 95% of the time for most people) it can actually be a really good time. Now, it hasn't always been this way. Getting over the pressure to find your eternal companion, wed, and have a billion babies before you are 25 or else you are a "failure," is a hard thing to overcome for most people. I know this, and most of you do too because you are there or you were there at one point in your life.
Pretty sure I was over it after my freshman year of college in 2007.
Honestly, it was just never really a "thing" for me. I don't know why. But whatever the case, once you're over it and I mean, REALLY over it, that's when you forget about all of the pressures and you just have fun. F-U-N. I hate to admit that I'm over it in fear that my dad will somehow find out, think that I've given up, which would have to force him into his dad mode, which would end up with a long conversation about how I need to try ldssingles.com, which would in turn end with lots of eye rolling... No offense dad, but no thanks. I've got this, I promise ;) I haven't given up. I just don't care right now.
My reasoning for bringing up such an ridiculous topic is that EVERY Sunday, without fail, this one girl in my ward (whom I adore) asks me, "do you have any fun/new dating stories from this week?" Umm. pretty sure I haven't had a fun/new dating story for over 2 years. Did you NOT listen to me say a few months ago that I don't date and quite frankly don't care? haha who ARE these people!? Am I not normal or something because I really don't care right now? Is that the only thing that matters to them? pssht. whatevs. My answer is always something like this..
"haha, No. But I'm having lots of fun! *insert cheesy grin:)*"
I'm still wanting to use the "actually--I'm a lesbian" approach but again, like I've discussed with a couple of friends, we don't want people thinking that's really true. So I haven't used that one in real life...yet. haha
But the true thing is that I do have fun; loads of it! And as long as I'm not getting myself into trouble then I think that's more than OK. I'm young, not hideous looking (haha) and I'm a REALLY good time. So why shouldn't I be happy and having fun? I don't really have a set motto when it comes to this kind of stuff because I basically go with flow... but I say to those of you who haven't gotten over the "WAH, I'm single.. I hate the dating game, BLAH DE FREAKING DA" thing, is simply to stop thinking that dating is the only thing that matters. Shut that out of your mind, right now. Just have fun and think about things before you do them (that's the key). And in the midst of doing that, if you find someone you want to go on a date with, then do. That's awesome :)
I think what I realized yesterday, though, is that I probably need to be a little more careful with my "just have fun" thing... I mean, sometimes I find myself thinking "Ummm what am I doing?" But meh... I'm figuring that out as I go.. and so will you! You might make mistakes in the process but you learn from them. Just go with the flow and LIVE for crying out loud!
I would say one of my friends' old motto of "If it feels good, do it" haha but that isn't always the best advice. MURP:/
Just forget about the pressures (wherever they are coming from) and have fun living YOUR life. And if you have some fun stories/drama.. email me! haha
Oh YEAH, Single, YEAH!!

Sunday Craft time!
I told you.. now that Coleman is gone, I have a little more free time to do crafts! I found this one yesterday morning from The Forge, fell in love, and decided I would make it since I had all of the stuff!
$3 and a couple hours of easy work for a cute sweatshirt? yeah, I think so.
Of course, I didn't go as hardcore as she does for this first one... I only did about 4 rows and I did my weave a bit thicker but it turned out super cute. A couple of the girls didn't believe me that I made it but clearly it's not perfect! I think we will be making a few more of these this summer :)
Tips--When you buy your $3 sweater at Walmart, get it baggy...you want it to be comfy! Also, she says you can use any kind of jersey fabric for the weave.. I ended up using a super soft t-shirt from the Gap that's been in my DI pile for a little while. Anything like that will work perfectly!

Super Hero Party and a great Saturday!
I love throwing birthday parties. I might be a little OCD about it and I might hate the "playing hostess" part sometimes but I do love putting on a great party where people can just come and have fun! This weekend we decided we would throw a little super hero party for Liz's birthday. I know what you're Thinking... Little?! Yeah. Not little.
We made comic signs...
We made comic signs...
Hung Balloons from the ceiling..
Made a cute little area for the food...
Made the most bomb cake...
and masks...
but really, look at that cake!
Overall, it was a great party! Sure, there were some interesting moments but it wouldn't be my life without some interesting/even a little awkward for me moments. I just have to say that I love my friends and how..uh... comfortable we are with each other.
There could be multiple reasons why I was feeling a little sick this morning but let's just hope it was that dare I had to do and not something else. Thank goodness I was able to have my vain/lazy Saturday complete with a pedicure, shopping, tanning (and turning into a lobster), taking a super long nap, lounging, pizza with ariana and watching movies with the girls (little cry sesh was needed. I'm convinced crying is good for the soul..) It was just a really great day!
I've decided this weekend that I will never be a lot of things and I'm OK with that.. but right now, I'm great with being Jenn...complete with the craziness, inappropriate comments, a little OCD, and a big heart. I really do care so much about my family and the people around me and I want them to be happy. I just want them to make good decisions so that might be why it seems like I talk so much "trash." I really do just care. I am just so thankful to be surrounded by such great, smart, attractive and inspiring people! It really is a good day to be alive :)

Is it bad..
Is it bad....
-that I want it to be nice and hot outside because that's when all the sluts come out and you know what that means? Drama. I kind of look forward to summer mostly for that reason. haha. And getting tan and stuff, of course.

...
-that Instagram totally doesn't help with my whole issue of thinking that certain celebrities are my real friends?... like, at all.
....
-that I have an obsession with buying music on iTunes? If I get a gift card, I can spend it in no time. Once I start going, I can't seem to stop myself. I mean, you put in a password and then the song magically appears on your celly cell? um. Fantastic.

....
-I've been having this reoccurring dream over the last couple of weeks that I know isn't real, and would never be real in a million years, but part of me wants to just address the situation from the dream in real life even though I know it's a REALLY bad idea and wouldn't make any sense?
...
-that there are some things that I still can't say out loud and I don't even know why? I mean, I am who I am and I'm not faking or deceiving anyone about it or whatever but I think there are people who would be shocked about certain things... meh. Someday.
....
-to want things for people you love to go a different way than what they want or the way they are heading because you think that your way would make them ultimately happier?
...
-to want to tell someone really close to you that they need to "back off" in certain situations because you might be on the verge of getting annoyed?
...
-that one of my friends posted this on Pinterest the other day and I couldn't stop laughing and shaking my head because I could sometimes relate to it?
haha...Horrible, I know. Thanks, Laura! haha.
-that I'm so glad that some people can't read my mind because I don't always think the nicest things about certain people. Shocking, I know.
-That as of right now I could be perfectly happy and content just being an aunt. I'm obsessed with this little boy. Can you believe Mason is going to be one in a couple of months? geezz
haha. don't mind the fact that I was shaking my head at him.. he was being silly with his fake laugh. All I have to say is Jamie and James better have a girl next because I have a feeling that Mason will always be my favorite little dude. Sorry to Coleman's future children! haha. ok, ok, ok, ok..that sounded bad. I'm totally just kidding. I just love him.
Oh well.. Can't help being me!
Whatever it is...just be you. Even if the "you" is a little out of norm. I mean, what's normal anyways?! haha.

Wednesday, April 25, 2012
It's Wednesday! I've decided we're a little inappropriate 96% of the time.
"I feel like I've been walking through a spook alley for the last 30 minutes..."
-Todd, Coworker in reference to Skrillex
He was giving me crap for not knowing some 80's band. Puhlease. How old does he think I am, really!? This, of course, made us go into a long discussion about being hip and music in general. I made him listen to Skrillex and some others..haha. But really, he eventually said that he kind of liked it. He just couldn't listen to it while doing complex spreadsheets at work. Oh Todd!
"Black and Yellow"
-Wiz Khalifa/Nieko/Brad/Me/Easton/uhhh and anyone who wants to make fun....
These lyrics will never be the same for some people...some, more than others!
"They have a Rhinosaur!?!?"
-Vicky
This "Vicky Moments" have quickly become some of my highlights every week. I think the best part of the whole thing, aside from her basically calling a rhinoceros a dinosaur, was that she really read "Rhinoceros" as "Rhinosaur." hahaha. But on the real, that Rhino looked dead. Borrrrrrring.
"Oh look! You can touch his tits!" -Liz in reference to the Gorilla statue at the Zoo.
"They're like Dwayne Johnson's..." -Vicky
Three things about this. 1.) I really did want to touch the ape's nipple and I was freaked about about the human-like features. 2.) Liz said 'tits' and didn't think twice? What the what?!? and 3.) Dwayne Johnson?! that big, huh?! bahahahaha
"That girl can dance..."
-Brad
Yeahhhhh... totally not a girl. But in Brad's defense he totally looked like a chick from behind with his shorty jean shorts, his blond hair that I envied a little, and those "moves"? hahahaha. It's OK Brad. You thought he was hot....whatevs!
"I really can't take all this segregation."
-Topher
Topher really hasn't been around all of us for the last year so he doesn't really understand the dynamic of the group and the people who really "click." He couldn't take the segregation and he was awkwardly drawing attention to it over and over again!
"He's hot, I'll do anything."
-Amanda direct quoting me multiple times this last week.
Who is Zac Efron, for the win? haha. I don't remember what I was referring to in this comment but I'm pretty sure it wasn't meant to sound dirty but whatever. He is good looking!
"Where's my friend, Jenn?"
-Easton (said in this tone that I can replay perfectly in my mind)
I honestly love when he answers the phone like this because if it doesn't sound like it's me then he automatically says this. Yeah..We're pals. We like to chat!

-Easton (said in this tone that I can replay perfectly in my mind)
I honestly love when he answers the phone like this because if it doesn't sound like it's me then he automatically says this. Yeah..We're pals. We like to chat!
"For a minute there, I though you were on Ecstasy."
-Brad
Listen people...for the last time...I'm NOT some big old druggie :) You guys are the one's trippin'.
"If you died, no one would know you were dead because you live alone."
-Nieko
He was serious and it was a little rude. I had to think about it for a minute but thank goodness Coleman knows most of the people that I know so he will at least have some phone numbers of people who could come and check on me if I didn't answer my phone or something. But I think my irrational brain decided that it would probably be a good 24 hours before my family really freaked out... sad. That's it--I'm finally going to get that extra key to my apartment this weekend and put it somewhere that a few people will know JUST in case... haha.
"I want to go run outside but I really don't want to put pants on." -me
"Then don't." -mom
"I have to wear pants outside, mom!" -me
"...meh..." -mom
What motherly advice...telling me that I can run around outside without pants on. smh. I'm not Gaga, mom. My neighbors aren't the classiest people but I don't think even they would appreciate me running around outside without pants.
"I'll totally push your wheelchair out of the hospital and everything!"
-Brad in support of me getting a boob job someday if I wanted.
.....I have really good friends, don't I? Of course the nice gesture was preceded with a "not so hidden agenda." haha.
"OHH, so you're running on gas...?"
-Vicky
What she really meant to say was "running on fumes" but honestly, if Amanda and I didn't correct her, she would have gone on with life thinking that what she said it right. I don't know what your corolla runs on, Vicky, but our cars always run on gas... HA!
"If you guys saw that movie you would probably do more than hit Liz the entire time.."
-Willy
Haha. Just because three super hot guys are in a Stripper movie about Channing Tatum's life doesn't mean that we will go see it. OK...so it's Rated R and maybe that's the only reason why we won't be going but you're right--I was hitting Liz just during the preview. Yikes :)
I wish I could add some others from this week without 1.) offending anyone, 2.) revealing secrets, or 3.) making anyone feel uncomfortable... but unfortunately, I can not. But most of you've lived it so no sense in saying it again right now :)
BUT if this week was a game show like the "Price is Right" or an episode of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," I would have to end this segment with the following line like:
"Be responsible--See a doctor if you have any questions about diseases you may have come in contact with. Visit www.avert.org/std for more help. The best way to not, is to...Not. "
haha! KIDDING.
Peace and Blessings, yo.

Dash of dramatic.
I know
I’ve been talking a lot about living alone recently but that’s only because it’s
super new to me again, so sorry….I’m also sorry that I have this weird thing for
scary movies and that they were playing this 2007 “Halloween” movie last night and, realizing that it wasn’t the typical “Michael Myers” version, I watched about 10
minutes of it and saw some guy getting hit with a bat repeatedly by a kid in a
weirdo clown mask until he died RIGHT in the middle of his own kitchen. Nightmare. I finally turned the TV completely off; I have to do that a lot these days. I mean, the other day I came home and my bed was completely moved. No joke. I think it's because Liz and Vicky were on it before we left but I honestly don't know. Of course, my friend Brad did nothing to reassure me that everything was fine. Instead, he insisted that I check the closet and behind the shower curtain. What is your problem, man?! Oh, and did I mention that just this weekend, Nieko said one of my fears out loud when he said that no one would know that I died if I did because I live alone. WTH?! Are you people really my friends?? smh.
haha kidding.
On a brighter note, though, I have been doing a REALLY good job of keeping myself busy. This girl has been walking/jogging everyday. Of course by everyday I mean, the last 6 days (not quite a habit yet) and I even busted out the old Cardio Party DVD yesterday. Classic. I think it's funny that one little thing can happen in your life (or a few) and you decide that you want to get your crap together and your view of certain things just shift. It's weird right? I mean, I do this often but right now, I'm feeling like I'm actually on the right track for a little while and I feel good. I don't think it was Coleman leaving either, I guess it's just a mix of things. I've even been feeling all sorts of funny. Kind of like a girl even. haha. WHAT THE WHAT?! Maybe I'm still on a "Lucky One" hangover? meh. possibly.
But I'm drinking more (water if that's even possible) and eating less (because I hate cooking for myself and I have this weird complex about eating out or even picking up anything by myself which I'm not complaining about) so that's been nice and the being semi-active thing again has been making me have so much more energy. We'll see how long I can keep it up. I have to do something besides tanning to keep my spirits up; I think that's the best way to do it without going on drugs or taking up drinking or something. [haha. Don't worry mom :)]
So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm feeling REALLY good today. But...I know It's only Tuesday. Ask me how I feel tomorrow or Friday even about the "be better" journey. Can I get a "WHAT, WHAT fist pump" from those of you who hear me on that one??
Oh, and can we please take a little poll of what people think my middle name would be if it wasn't Snooki's real life name?
10 votes for Drama? yeah. I figured that's what you were thinking. I think it's official, really. Even my married man co-worker called me for advice on some Drama he was having with his future neighbor and their contractor. Jesh. Who do these people think I am? haha Oh yeah, "really good with people with a dash of passion for drama?" yeah...that's me.

Zoo, dancing and craziness.
Words cannot express how much I enjoy my weekends. I always have loved weekends (who doesn't, really) but ever since I've been living alone, my appreciate level has gone up to a whole different level. Simply stated, I love being surrounded by people.
This weekend was no exception. Friday night we had to say "bye" to another friend who will be selling alarm systems for the summer...sad face. But honestly, I didn't know him very well. I think I just really connect with people really fast; it's a blessing and a curse (I will explain the curse part later in this post). We really didn't do a whole lot on Friday night but we always tend to make fun wherever we go. I mean, if you can do essentially nothing and still have a good time, then chances are that YOU are a good time in general. I like to think that I'm one of those people most of the time.
Saturday was really the perfect day. I woke up, went for a jog/walk in the PERFECT 70ish degree weather, listened to some "pump up" music, used some new AMAZING hair products from the one and only Ariana (LOVE HER) and cleaned up a little around the a-p-t. There's just something about being able to open up all of the windows and leave them open all day long and filling your home with the fresh spring air. mmm. love.
To continue on the great Saturday, Liz, Vicky and I went to the Hogle Zoo! It was my first time going and it didn't disappoint. Sure, I enjoyed walking around in shorts and soaking up the sun the most but I loved seeing all of the animals and sending some time with the girls in the perfect weather.
I basically spent the rest of the day with them as we went to dinner and of course, FINALLY got to meet up with Amanda and Ariana to go see "the Lucky One." Alright, I know some of you have been waiting for my review because you truly understand my love for this man but I don't know what else to tell you other than the fact that I honestly had to catch my breath a couple of times in the movie because he was that good looking. His eyes? Killer blue and amazing. I do have to apologize to liz for hitting her A LOT during the movie. I just have this thing that I really don't have control over and when I see something that is super funny or REALLY good. It's the "I can't believe my eyes right now, are you seeing this? omg, are you seeing this?" kind of thing. Oh yeah, she was seeing it--she knew! We all were. Good Man, that Efron. Good Man.

Just go see it. It's a good movie I think even for people who aren't in 'love' with him like I am. Sure, it only got like, 1 and a half stars. Whatever. How can you not just want to kiss him a little? haha. ok. that's enough. moving on.
After the movie the boys met up with us to go dancing downtown. This wasn't something that we had in the plans until right before the movie but I'm glad we went. Easton's mission buddy was one of the guys putting it on and it was a good time. There were quite a few interesting people there and of course, I made friends with a couple of them for a minute (here's the curse part of that "instant connection" I was talking about earlier. They were weirdos. The girl touched my boob, called me adorable, it got weird, I left...the end, haha) but mostly we just stuck to our little group and danced. Plus.. it was free; how can you go wrong?! Even if we were the only ones there and they played one song over and over again I'm sure we still would have made it fun.
Oh, and I'm sorry that SOME people thought I was on drugs. I was not. Duh. I was just on my feet moving around all day long and I wasn't going to stop. Another thing that I'm sorry for.. apparently I had a mini break down at IHOP. Let me clear something up: I have those all of the time, people. You know this. I think it's because I genuinely am a good person BUT there are some people who make me feel like I am the crazy girl in school sometimes because I act a little out of the "norm." Don't get me wrong, I'm crazy and I don't think they mean to make me feel that way....I just have a really hard time trying to find a balance of crazy that is good for the people around me whilst being me. It's an inner conflict that I struggle with only because I am always being me in the moment but then after the fact is when I struggle with the "um, maybe I should have calmed down a little" but for some reason, no matter how hard I try, I just can't. So for now, I guess I will just keep being the crazy me and try to not care that I know people are like "whoa. calm it down."
I'm working on that balance and a few other things-- promise. Some people just need to learn to be patient with me.
On a different note--I made it through my first week of living alone! Woot woot. Go me :) I struggled a bit the first night and I know there will nights when I'm scared or a little lonely but it's all good, really. I've been doing a really good job of working on projects, turning off the TV, and just keeping busy; It's been nice. I miss my brother and of course, I will never want to live alone for the rest of my life, but one thing I have found that I LOVE is wearing whatever I want to bed or just around the house. Silly right? I'm not the "chill all naked around the house" kind of person at all but I do enjoy rocking the boy shorts and cami's. Yeeeah, I probably shouldn't get into the habit but meh, what can you do? I'll enjoy it for the summer, I suppose. I just have to start closing the blinds because last night, even the Koreans were up at 3 am. hmm... I don't know if they ever sleep. Vampire Koreans? ugh. There I go freaking myself out again. haha.
Well, Happy Sunday, loves!

Making a change, DB's and other things that bug me.
So I know I'm going to have a major drop in readers by doing this, but I've decided to cut MOST of the 'wall posting' for a while and here's why:
**I feel like when I first started putting some of my posts on Facebook that hardly ANY of my friends did this and now, Facebook has turned into blog central. Don't get me wrong--homegirl loves all things blog, but I think there has to come a day when you say, "I'm not like everyone else." Clearly, this is true. I know I'm going to have readers who say, "Why did you stop blogging?" To which I will instantly give them the stink eye, point my finger and say, "um, how about you follow me for realsies on blogger.com if you care to know what I have to say." *Insert sarcastic thumps up*
We'll see how long it lasts because there is just something about blogging knowing that people in your life are going to be reading the things that you have to say because they WANT to read it. When I do this, I'm WAY more careful with the things that I write. So really, this could be bad/good. Maybe I won't have to be as vague and won't have to tip toe around some of the things I say in fear that my bishop or home teacher will click the posted link and think I'm falling off the deep end and need saving. meh. We will just call this a test run for a while and see the response I get.
So, naturally, if you aren't really a true "follower" and you like reading my blog, for whatever reason, you can follow now by clicking the "follow" button in the top left corner :) ORR if you aren't like me and don't check blogger on a daily basis then you can simply submit your email on the right hand side to get an email notification when I post. Super easy. And if you don't like reading but you do it anyways because you want to be sure that I'm not talking bad about you or that you aren't missing out on anything good then ....do what you want. Just know that I won't be blowing up your Fbook page as much for a while. [I might still post Wednesday's though. I do what I want.]
Can I start by kicking off this weekend by telling you a couple of things that bug me recently?
1-Douchebags. You know who I'm talking about and you definitely know who you are if you fall into this category. If people call you a douchebag, even if they say that they are kidding, chances are that part of them really thinks you are a mini or mega douche; that's something YOU have to deal with. But, until you stop being obnoxious and only caring about superficial things and treating women like dirt, you will never be able to have a serious relationship with someone who is actually worth more than the boobs, butt and 'hot bod' that you were in it for to begin with. Sure, you're nice to girls and you can rope them in for a while with your charm, hair, muscles, and 'good looks,' (good for you) but this girl isn't falling for it. smh. no way. And earth to all the dateable girls--sure, kiss them. Have fun. I don't care. But don't fall for them AFTER you know about their DB status. They can be great friends but until they get over that, that is all they should be allowed. Can you please resist the initial good looks and charm and take a stand to shut down all DB's? Let's force the douchiness right out of them by refusing to give them what they want--attention and action.
(note--I don't know THAT many DB's. I'm just saying...)
2-If I have to hear one more guy classify all women in general as either "hot or not", "Fat or not" or whether they have "big boobs or not" I might jump out of a freaking window. It's probably a bit of my own fault. In my life, most of my best friends have always been guys so I instantly participate in these conversations talking about the previously mentioned because, "I'm Jenn" or "I'm not like other girls," and honestly, because I do think it's funny most of the time so I'm usually right there with them. But I know when to draw the line and I'm usually pretty good about considering the feelings of the people around me. But it's really been bothering me sometimes to the point that I've been thinking about how I should really start sticking up for woman a bit more because sometimes I'm seconds away from needing someone to sing "Jumper" just to get me to even consider "stepping back" from a big old fat ledge before I willingly plummet from a rooftop face first into the asphalt from someone saying, "Was she hot?" KILL me now.
But again, I have to remind myself that I too judge people a lot. And hey, I appreciate hot men. Scratch that. I LOVE good looking men. I'm not saying that you can't love attractive girls/boys--you should. But I like to think that I understand that not everyone is the world's form of "gorgeous" and that I give people a pretty fair chance because everyone has something to offer. Yes, even the girl who has the perma b look on her face has something to offer. I also know that while looks are important, they aren't all that matter (said, the ugly chick, right? hahah just kidding. Isn't that what they say about people who think 'looks aren't all that matter?' hahaha SEE HOW RUDE AND VAIN WE ARE?!) I'm disgusted a little.
Bottom line. Boys--not every girl can be a supermodel, have a "big rack," perfect hair, eyes, AND be CRACK skinny. Girls--When did we let guys think that muscles are all that matter? Did we essentially create the Douchebag specimen? I shiver at the thought.
Can't we just be happy, healthy, love life, hug, kiss and be merry?
I think we can all work on it a titz. (sorry, one last boob reference because I am still me.)
just don't be a DB, K?
tgif, fools.
Sure, you're nice to girls and you can rope them in for a while with your charm, hair, muscles, and 'good looks,' (good for you) but this girl isn't falling for it. smh. no way. Friend Zone Part 2--Because it's funny and we all know what it means.
Please tell me you've see the movie Just Friends? I saw this today on pinterest and honestly this part of the movie gets me every time:
Ray: What is your point?
Chris: My point is - Call Sheila, Ray. Call her right now. Move your day date to tonight. Play the entire thing aloof and no matter what you do, kiss her at the end. 'Cause friends don't kiss.
BAHAHAHA. The brother/lamp thing? So true. Take it from the biggest offender of the FZ who's surrounded by many different kinds of 'lamps'... BEWARE of the Friend Zone.
And for many of you who think that you aren't in the Friend Zone? uh, if you had to question it then you're probably already there. Lamp. move on.

Wednesday's Witty Words of the Week
"I believe in Mermaids so, it's cool."
"I'm not going to kiss him dirty!"
-Vicky to Nieko and I who may or may not have been giving her some unsolicited tips on kissing.
Someday, I just need to take a video of one whole night of us just being...well, us. We're a good time. "Just do it like this...Open your mouth a little." -Nieko. haha. classic.
"I feel like you're directing a porno or something."
-Liz
The funny part about this was that it was 3 AM and, although it was just him setting up a "kissing scene," I can see why she felt a little odd. To the people who know what I'm talking about.. "you just need to get it over with." muahahahahaha.
"Write it down. April 14th. Easton Roberts prophesies it."
-Easton
Ok, what he was saying in itself about him thinking that Liz would be a bad mom wasn't funny, but I couldn't help but laugh and feel a little uncomfortable at the fact that he got SO into his comment that he said we needed to write it down... oh geez. haha. For the record, Liz, I think you'll be a GREAT mom!
"Hey Easton..?"-Cole said in super serious tone while everyone else was silent at our "camp out" trying to get some more sleep after breakfast.
"What?" -Easton
"Quit playing with your dingy!" -Cole instantly played his Tommy Boy Quote App.
I honestly think I died laughing for a good 5 minutes. Mostly all by myself because I seem to be the only one who thought it was THAT funny. Have you not seen Tommy Boy, people? How are we friends? ...Maybe I had a bit of a "Party Hosting Hangover" but it was funny. Still is.
"That hot sauce drink burnt the crap out of my poor lips."-Me
"...You should do that to your lips more often; They look really good." -Nieko
haha. He and Vicky both kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with my lips but that they actually looked good. I guess I have to thank Topher for the disgusting dare which gave my lips the nice red tint and my special 'chap stick' trick for making them look so nice. HA. BUT honestly, I thought my lips were going to fall off... and I kind of wanted to die a little. Dramatic? I think not.
"Is there anyone alive out there?!"
-Cole randomly quoting Titanic in the most perfect way ever
Do you know the part I'm talking about?! He really sounded just like the guy in the ONE life boat that came back to see if anyone in the water was alive after the sinking. Here... Let me find it for you.
Watch the first 4 seconds of this clip.
It was totally random when he said it but it was so perfect that everyone knew what he was quoting. AND, it was right after we woke up from our "camping" and we were all pretty silent for a while because we (I mean, they..because I totally slept in my bed) wanted to die from sleeping on the floor. This of course inspired us to go see it in theaters that night in 3D. Woot Woot!
"I had a lot of 'who cares' moments last night."
-Liz
True. She really did. There are a few things that will never be the same for Liz: Hershey's Chocolate, Elmer's Glue, and 'Frosting Fingers.' Oh, Not-so-baby Elizabeth :) Welcome to the 'dark side.' haha. KIDDING.
"Prolly can you help me?"
-Brandi about hitting Cole with a pillow
She said this kind of thing a few times this weekend. It's really weird when you hear it at first because obviously that question would be perfectly fine with out the PROLLY at the beginning. I mean, heck, it would make more sense with the PROLLY after the question if it needs to be there at all. haha. Oh Brandi, Ashley and your case of the "Prolly's." When they say it like ^^ this, you can't help but laugh a little.
"Quit trying to pull my leg hairs. Pull your own.. They're as long as mine!"
-Easton to Brandi
Did I mention that they are dating? haha. Oh yeah, they are.
"Liz and I don't mess around. We go ALL in. Just like Brad [and his tongue.]"
-Me to Vicky
I normally don't like to write down things that I say on this segment because it makes it sound like I think that I'm super funny or something but when we laugh so hard that the other person says I have to add it (if it's semi-appropriate) then I try to throw it in there. So there you go, Vicky!
"This is the ultimate stalker car. Black, Bungee-chorded trunk,...Black driver."
-Easton
Of course he had to add the last one in there but the car did serve its purpose!
"I want to learn to Salsa dance!" -Amanda trying to convince us girls to want to do the same.
"Uh, no."
"Country SwiiiNG?!" -Amanda
hahaha. I love that she was so excited and so serious about her idea. I mean, sure we all decided that we need to get out and maybe meet some new people and what not but Country Dancing?! sorry...can't get myself to do that one. I think we agreed on some alternatives that I would participate in though, K girls?
"Oh Look--Edward Cullen!!" -Me while bowling (totally an inside joke but he really was on the Music Video that was playing on the screen.)
"WHAT?! NO!!!!!!" -Amanda
She might say that Nieko and I forever ruined the Twilight movies for her, but don't blame us... blame Urban Dictionary ;)
"Hey, you're still the shiznit"
-Weird girl in the ward straight to the BISHOP.
whoa, whoa, whoa, right?! I'm pretty sure the Bishop saw my instant look of disgust and judgement passed when she said this comment and I honestly don't care. Really. First--Who says shizNIT these days? I mean, I know people say "shiz" all the time as an alternative for saying the real word. Whatev. But shiznit? (ok, I accidentally almost submitted this post with the grammatical error of "shitnit" but then caught it and changed it but laughed so hard that I actually had to place it in right now simply for comedic effect.) I think the biggest thing aside from the fact that she actually called an adult figure that word is that she said it straight to THE BISHOP. WTH? I about passed out from holding my breath and laughter.
-Vicky
I think I was talking about witches or something and I clearly was joking when I said, "I think I'm really a witch." I am not. Although, what girl at one point in her life didn't wish to be a Sabrina Spellman [minus the black cat of course]?? Well, she REALLY responded with that ^ comment. haha. Mermaids? oh Vicky..
I found this shirt; you should buy it.
I found this shirt; you should buy it.

Camping Indoors.
We were supposed to go real camping this weekend for Ariana's birthday but the forecast for where we were going went a little like this...Cold. Rain. Snow. More Cold and uhhh. rain.
Soooo Liz and I decided that we were going to go all out and do an indoor camping party. And when I mean all out, I mean all out. Sure, we didn't have a real fire, but I had an app for campfire noises and other nature things. I mean, it was pretty close to real camping. The tent smelt like camping too so what more could you ask for? haha. Cole put 100 glow and the dark stars on my vaulted ceiling and Liz and I did this...
You know it's a big deal when you have to take off your bedroom door just so you can move the furniture out of the living room. I was honestly surprised at how large my living room looked without all the furniture. [I kind of didn't want to move it all back in once the party was over but I guess we need places to sit and such.]
Liz, Vicky and I painted the animals on Wednesday night and told Ariana they were for her mom's "class." She believed us. haha. We just wanted it all to be a surprise, which, I think it was!
I had already taken Friday off for Camping so Liz and I started at about noon with the decor and party stuff. Yes, we are hardcore. The best part was going to this school supply/"Map World" place and buying the "self serve" butcher paper. It took us a good half hour or so to roll up the 42 yards of paper. Don't tell Map World, but It think we ended up with a yard or two extra. I mean, get real. We were laughing or talking while rolling it all up and lost count a little. Even though we did them in 4 yard rolls, we still lost count. Yes, we're a little special.
It really turned out just as good, if not better than what we had pictured it to look like! I'd say we are the ultimate party planners. It only took us like....5 hours or so to get it all together. Sounds like a lot but we had a ton of fun doing it! The worst part was seeing that 5 hours of work to put up only took about 15 minutes to completely clean up and put the furniture back together again. Totally worth it though.
All decoration and party planning awesomeness aside, the actual party itself was fun. I think it's safe to say that we are all a little crazy. If you would have told me a year ago that certain people in our group would turn out to be even half as crazy as me I would have laughed in your face. But now...haha.
We had games, eating, dancing, drinking stuff that's not meant to be mixed or swallowed, more "dancing," lots of laughing, many "OH MY GOSH" and WTH moments, indoor star gazing, and of course some pretty hilarious dares that some people will never live down. Trust me. Some of which I'm grateful for because they totally will make people forget about some things that certain people told me I would never live down. Haha. After Friday night? psh. yeah right.
Not everyone stayed the night but I'm so glad that pretty much everyone came and stayed up pretty late and had fun! A few of us even went on a late night walk at like 2:30 or something.. which is a pretty normal night for Nieko and I, but do you know how many people are out and about at that time? We actually ran into a few and it kind of creeped me out but then I remembered that we were also at that time so it's like...uh, maybe they're cool too? Hmmm. well..
Dear Main Street,
Thank you for the late night entertainment. I'm sorry for the thing [W] used as a punching bag and broke. I'm sorry that [N] wanted to steal it and put it in my apartment. I'm also sorry for saying that the only reason why I didn't want them to steal it was purely because it was super ugly and I didn't want it to become decor in my apartment. What I'm not sorry for, though? Spotting that large rock that looked like the face of the Dark Lord [AKA, Voldemort] and almost getting an "object crush" on it, not because of what it was but because of how awesome I guess I thought it was in the moment, and then letting [N] take it and place it on top of the apartment complex sign. Oh, and then waking up this morning for a Sunday walk and maybe getting a little emotional but then walking back into the complex and seeing this and getting a really good laugh:
Life without ridiculous funny moments like this ^^^.. wouldn't be living at all.
I'm not sure what time we actually went to bed but my kind of camping totally includes all of the fun of it but then getting to sleep in my nice comfy bed. Sorry to all the people, AKA Easton who woke up with a back ache and to the ones who barely got any sleep for..other reasons. Um.. You wanted to camp so I gave you "camping" haha.

| AFTER breakfast most of us took another nap. |

| Easton trying to pull a prank to make Liz pee her pants.. haha. SO didn't work. |
We finished off Ariana's Birthday by stopping by and looking at all the dog that are up for adoption. omg, I wanted to get them all and give them a home. Ok, all except for that one poodle who almost took Cole's finger off. nightmare. And then we decided to go see Titanic 3D. Yes, we saw it on April 14th--Exactly 100 years since the sinking. We're awesome. I know I've seen that movie probably a billion times but it still gets me every time. There's just something about seeing it on big screen! Thank you James Cameron and of course, Leonardo Decap:)
Well, thanks to everyone for the fun. To Liz for spending a full 24 hours with me and pulling off the most awesome birthday party yet. To Ariana for being born and giving us a reason to party and celebrate being alive. And to the last weekend that we will ALL be together for a while...We keep it real!

My brain is weird but I like to think it works--Super Random Ramblings. 20 minute lunch break addition. LEGGO!
On Monday I found myself not wanting to wear socks for a minute. I took a picture because it was so outrageous. Then I deleted said "outrageousness" and put the socks back on because my feet instantly felt funny like they always do when I don't wear shoes or socks. That, and I felt weird for even considering that my sock madness had passed.
I have really irrational thoughts sometimes. You think I'm exaggerating? I'm not. Unfortunately :/ I won't even go into detail about some of the things I contemplated doing this morning...
One of my favorite bands, You Me At Six (that I mostly obsess over for their lyrics, lead singer, and their ridiculously hot British accents ) has a song that says in it "I like secrets 'cause they keep me in line." I've thought about that line for a really long time and I could never really decide what they meant. Therefore, I guess we can consider it to be pretty deep. [HA!] I know that I like secrets because I like 'being in the know' and I like knowing that people can come to me and trust me. But let's be honest...when someone tells me something that I know probably isn't public knowledge but I KNOW that it will eventually come to the surface at some point, and is not a big deal (come on, I can tell the difference) then I usually end up telling one person. (don't act like you don't have a go to person). Most of the time it's someone who doesn't even know the other person OR I just make sure that I state that "It isn't public knowledge yet so keep it on the DL and act clueless when you hear from the source." ....huh. I guess secrets really do keep me in line. But that doesn't mean that I don't have this URGE to tell someone when I know something really juicy.
...speaking of juicy. I know that someone is making a pretty big leap really soon and that someone REALLY isn't as "normal" as people think they are and that so and so told so and so something that they can never take back. Vague? sorry--I'm trying to keep in line :)
I just found out yesterday that they are doing a "Paranormal Activity 4." HOWWWW? I mean really? How? [omg, Liz]
Here's the problem with booking flight and hotel plans for a trip over 4 months in advance...I instantly want to peace out and go on the trip. That's right, Regan doesn't know yet but the Hansen's and the Smith's are going to Disneyland for a few days at the end of the summer. Watch out world!
You really just can't win with some people these days. Sometimes I feel like everyone around me is so different and that I want to make everyone happy but at the same time there is this tiny piece of me (deep down) that wants to just have a major freak out about somethings and like, pull a Britney--shave my head or at least freak out and hit a car with an umbrella....
If not a Britney then something like this:
haha. OK, maybe not that bad considering all of those things are irrelevant to my non-sucky life but sometimes I picture myself dramatically freaking out like that. haha. Really..
I have gone almost 4 days without painted nails and I kind of hate it A LOT. I can't deal with these man hands. But the last few days I just haven't had the energy because I realized that for the last 3 years + I have continuously painted my nails almost once a week. Do you know how much time that takes? ugh. Yeah.. I'm sure I will end up painting them this weekend once I get over the fact that I calculated how much time I probably spend painting my nails every year and WOW. Oh, the things we do to feel better. But then I remember that I can multitask while I let them dry. Sort of. But that's usually watching TV. like I said. I have the weirdest thoughts...
...Like me actually contemplating getting rid of my cable and DVR last week because I feel like my life would be enhanced with all the activities I could do if I didn't have TV to tempt me. But then I slapped myself and realized that I don't think I could do it. Maybe someday I will be able to do it. You know, just cut the cable cord and be like.. "Sorry, Comcast--It's not you, it's me; We're OVER!" Then I would go through the steps of grieving and be over it. I think it's doable. some day....someday.

Wednesday's Witty Words of the Week
"Haven't you taken a Geology Class?!?!"
-Vicky's response to my question about weather forecasts.
hahaha ok. I didn't take a Geology class in college or anything but when she said this Willy and Liz and I died laughing. Willy: "A class about...ROCKS?" We died. Like, I'm not here anymore because this girl is too funny.
"Hey, will you lick these?"
-Coleman on our drive to Idaho about his sticky fingers from eating a rice krispie.
The funniest part about this is that he's so serious when he jokes. No, I will not lick your fingers for you because 1.)that would be wrong on SO many different levels and 2.) Lick your own dang fingers!
"Mom. You're wearing Nike socks? You're a Bad A."
-Cole
Like he didn't already know that mom was a Bad A or something? HA! And like the Nike brand automatically brings you to a higher level of "BAD A-NESS" (haha. I just made you say Anus.. besides the point.) Moving on.
Ok.. I have to set this next one up. Cole, Mom, Dad and I were sitting in the living room getting ready to watch a movie and I guess mom and I were being loud and annoying about something. ACTION:
Cole (Bible in Hand): "Let your women keep silence.."
This was followed by a lot of laughter and an "OMG, you're so rude" and a chat about women's right and being nice to girls, and a "but it's in the bible," and dad quickly following with "Yeah, so shut the [H] up." all in fun and games of course. We love each other. But it was funny.
"Hey there Lover of Love..."
-Easton
It's true. I feel like I'm pretty open about my love for love. I'm just glad people are finally picking that one up. I mean, I know I'm against certain relationships and am a firm believer in being smart about things but in general.. But I do love a good love story. So if you have one that isn't dumb then you should comment below or text me or something ;) I'll take the "lover of love" title. It makes me seem less heartless. Which i'm not...usually.
"You scared of black people? It's 2012..."
-Winston, New Girl
He's the only black main character on the show and last night he goes and scares Jess' new boyfriend, Like, "BOO" and of course the boy friend got startled and that was Winston's response. SO FUNNY! ...Sometimes I wish I was a different color just purely for all of the jokes you can make to make other people feel awkward. I find it hilarious.
"Because you're ADD?" -Wendy
"Umm.. you mean, OCD?" -me
I can't remember now if she was referring to my neat piles on my desk or how I'm constantly cleaning and "lysoling" my apt. Whichever the case, ADD and OCD are completely different. Oh Wendy... Don't call me either, thanks! (jk. I can handle it.)
"If you wanna get with me you've gotta get with my friends. And yes, that's a Spice Girl song."
-Jess, New girl
hahaha. I want to be like Jess when I grow up.. or just the writers of the show. So quick and so clever. The dry sense of humor KILLS me.
"This is Hazing!!!"
-Liz
Sure, [N] and [W] and I were pushing her down and trying to make her go into the dark closet but it was all in fun and games. Ok, shoot. That's probably what 99% of all bullies say. But dear Liz, you know we are joking and that we weren't really "Hazing" you. You'd know if it wasn't out of love and fun and games. I mean, really--We LOVE you. And plus, you don't fool me. I know you can hold your ground. You're FIERCE!
"You look like death."
-Nieko
Rude. First of all.. I was in my EXTRA grubbies (paint shirt included) because I was cleaning around the house and didn't know everyone was coming over. Second, I really have no excuse as to why my hair was pulled out of it's nasty ponytail that it had been in all day long. But lastly, you KNOW that my eyes are sensitive to light so if you shine a light on me after being in Vampire mode for an hour or so...I'm not going to be able to open one eye and I will be a tits of a mess.
haha. Ok, Yeah, I looked like death. Whatev.
I am actually surprised that I was able to come up with that many because I was gone all weekend and have been so "on the go." So sorry, that's all you get today. But I will leave you with a bonus. If you know my mom--keep reading.
My mom watches a lot of Ellen and well she randomly started to "Dance Dare" my dad at our Easter Dinner and I caught the tail end of it. It's my mom so of course we were dying at her dance moves by the end of it so I had to cut the video. I just love the fact that she was trying to hold her laugh in and I think she was starting to choke on a carrot, and the fact that my Dad had no clue that it was going on or what a dance dare was. It's not Ellen worthy by all means...I missed the provocative dancing at the beginning [yeaaaa...curse you iPhone for being in my pocket!!] But I still got a laugh out of it.
(sorry the video is turned the wrong way.. I was in a hurry.) Oh that mother of mine. I sure love her!
