Remember when I recently said that I wanted some Drama because I was getting bored? Well, I always end up mostly taking it back. I mean, can't a girl just want for someone to have a random "Mormon Hook Up" or for someone to do something jaw dropping so we can talk about it and poke fun a little? Is that too much to ask? I mean, it's summer. Who doesn't want some kind of fun drama like that? Don't judge me for trying to follow the Spice Girls' advice when they said, "People of the World: SPICE UP YOUR LIFE." That's all I wanted; a little drama to spice it up a little...Never REAL crap. smh
Let me break it down. I rarely have my own crap that goes down and I prefer to keep it that way. However, I've decided that for someone who usually doesn't care, I tend to get super invested in certain people's lives. It's not usually what I plan on doing but it just sort of happens. I guess that's what happens when it's someone you really care about and they come to you for advice? whatev.
All I have to say is that I am so over people and their excuses for the way their life is going. 'So and So' wants this but is too lazy to actually do something about it, 'What's-their-name' desperately loves something but can't for whatever reason (usually cliche reasons), and then you have Captain and Ms. Oblivious who can't open their eyes to reality; It's so annoying. [If I'm ever that annoying you really have permission to corner me and poke all of the nasty bruises that mysteriously showed up on my legs this last week :/ haha but seriously.]
Can we all work on this together? If you're making up an excuse for something in your life, whatever it is, can we just stop lying to ourselves and everyone else, tell the truth, and move the EFF on with whatever it is? Let's choose to open our eyes on this beautiful day and say:
"you know what?--I lied,"
"I don't want to be with you or can't [this and this reason],"
"I'm really just insecure and say these things to hide [this and this],"
"I got myself into this and it's time to get myself out for good."
I don't know what it is in your particular life but I think we could spice up our lives in a positive and good way if we didn't have so much unnecessary drama that comes purely from being super stupid.
If we would just learn to be honest and communicate the way we really feel and do something about it, it would would diminish a huge chunk of unnecessary drama because people would truly understand where we are coming from, leaving people no other choice than to quickly get over it, leaving less time for gossip and judging and more time for positive and fun things!
No more excuses please.
be honest from the beginning (especially with people you love)
if you want it, make it happen. (walk the walk, not just talk the talk)
accept consequences/changes. (live with it)
stick up for yourself. (don't let people walk all over for you).
See things the way they really are (sometimes you can't always give people the benefit of the doubt)

Project Update!
Remember how I gave you a sneak peak earlier in the week of the project Ariana and I worked on last weekend? Well, the project is now completed! I finally brought it home last night (had to wait so it wouldn't stink up the A-P-T) and I'm so happy with the way it turned out.
Ok, ready for it?!?
Months ago I found this picture on pinterest and fell in love with it. Only problem? It didn't have a tutorial on how to do it. Ariana assured me that we could get it done and after a little initial lack of faith, 5 total hours of hard work, squatting, and rocking it with a jig saw and some wood glue and....Viola!! We did it:)
Here's the pictures of the process followed with an explanation below.
1.) Top Left. At this point we didn't really know how to go about doing the project. There wasn't a tutorial ANYWHERE on the Internet. I mean, anywhere. Pinterest, Goog, nothing! So we just started putting down all of our pieces of wood (A pallet and some random pieces courtesy of Liz :) ) and started strategizing our plan of action.
2.) Top Right. We started cutting the pieces into skinnier ones and putting together the puzzle. We knew that there were high points of the lips and shorter points so we just started to fit the side by side like so. Ariana was rocking the saw for this part. She's not the best at straight lines (unless she's cutting hair of course haha ;)) but honestly it was the best thing for this job because we didn't want it to be perfectly straight! She did such a good job.
3.) Bottom left. This is where it started to get fun. We decided that the best way would be to take a pen and sketch the edges. At this point we knew this was the "make or break it point" but we just kept going with it. I got my hands on the saw this time and I honestly was impressing myself with each piece. [dear santa, I want a jig saw for Christmas]. We picked up each piece, cut the edges and put them back into formation until it quickly turned into this...
4.) Bottom right. So great right?!
Honestly once we got to this point it wasn't too hard. We used 2 larger pieces of the pallet as a backing to each piece (top lip and bottom lip) and trimmed the edges so they couldn't be seen from the front view. Our original plan was to use nails to place the pieces onto our "frame" but we quickly found that the nails would split the wood. [boo]
We ended up using Titebond II Premium Wood Glue that you can get from Home Depot for 4 bucks. It wasn't the ideal thing to use, obviously but it worked like a champ! (note--if you do this. Be sure that your frame isn't warped at all to ensure that you get the tightest bond with the glue since clamps can't be used to hold the pieces in place while the glue dries. We improvised a lot but it worked beautifully.
We then decided to use spray paint so we could easily get into the cracks to make sure the back frame could not be seen. We used a white primer on the bottom to make sure our color would come out even, considering the pieces of wood were different kinds. To get the rustic look we used a red gloss spray paint directly on top of the primer. We only needed a can of each and it turned out like THIS:
Impressed?! haha. I am, but I suppose I'm biased. Of course, if you want more of a glossy look and less rustic/urban then just simply get another can of red paint and do another coat. I decided to keep mine as is for now. I like the feel of it. It might get a touch up later, we'll see. But as of right now, we're obsessed. And let's be honest, it fits in with the dull colors in my living room. haha.
Of course it's not the same as the picture we found but, get real. We made it and we love it!
At the end of the project if you have the wood already laying around, and a saw of course, the project will be under $15. WOOT WOOT.
At the end of the project if you have the wood already laying around, and a saw of course, the project will be under $15. WOOT WOOT.
I'm hanging it up tonight on the wall by my dining room table/kitchen. I can post another picture at that point on instagram or something but I was just too excited and couldn't wait to share :)

Yet another Wednesday... sometimes it's the story behind it that's funny.
"How did guinea pigs come to pass anyways?"
"Maybe a pig and a mouse did the humpty dumpty."
-Coworker, Amy
haha is that what they are calling it these days? The Humpty Dumpty? If that's the case then Mother Goose was a real big perv.
"Want anything else?" -Amy in reference to ice cream
"Yeah. Some peace and quiet so I can play my DS."
-Coworker Kristjan mocking another coworker
So if FranklinCovey had a reality TV show it would totally be "The real coworkers of FC." And of course, if I was in it then you would all watch because you know that it would be DRAMA!! haha. Well, there's office drama up in here all the time, and as much as we hate it, we sometimes really get into it. The star of the show would be the guy who watches movies and sucks at hiding it and, after being caught and given a warning, has now switched to bringing in his DS (he probably jacked it from one of his kids) and playing it at his cube. He tries to hide it but it's always an epic fail. We make fun of him a lot and it's pretty funny.
"I'm not mad, I'm annoyed!!"
-Nieko about me starting to say no to him lately.
hahaha. Here's the thing... he's a really persuasive person. I only said no to a couple of things he wanted me to do this weekend, both of which weren't even a big deal. He just didn't like it too much. haha. And when I say that, I mean, he "accidentally" punched me in the face and poked my bruise on my leg a few times making it bigger... nice. yeah. I see why bully's get what they want. Hazing it rude. hahaha j/k. He's not a bully!
"I'm a little bit overwhelmed by you."
-Jamie about my singing Sister Act to her over the phone
haha. Really? Of all of the things that I do, THAT makes you feel overwhelmed? oh geez. Should I worry about my relationships with people who aren't my family? ha.
"You're looking really pale. Why didn't you go tanning?"
-Nieko
Of course this was an inside joke because I'm not THAT pale. There are just a few reasons why I can't go tanning right now and he likes to call me a baby for it. OH yeah, that's another thing I said "No" to him about this week. haha.
"What the WTF?"
-Ariana about church songs coming up on shuffle
Of course it was funny because it was about church songs but it was even funnier because, as we all know, the W-T in "W-T-F" clearly already stands for "what the." haha smh.
"it's the biggest, nastiest, best thing you will ever have."
-Liz about some KFC chicken sandwich she couldn't stop talking about.
Clearly home girl was hungry because we weren't even eating one of them and she just brought it up and kept talking about it for a minute. I'm not sure what the sandwich is called but she acted like she was in a legit relationship with it so um, if you're into that kind of a thing--call Esther..I mean, Liz, and she'll give you the deats.
"I'm just going to say this...your legs are pink."
-Vicky
Um, thanks? Like I didn't know that I got a little sunburnt on Saturday? I swear...some people! haha. jk, love you Vicky. But just putting this out there, people know when they are sunburnt. No need to point it out or, like some people...poke it. I'm not kidding. In my old single's ward in Ontario there was this girl who I never really talked too but she would always come up to me that summer and be like "oh wow, you got sunburnt" or "Are you sunburnt?" and then poke it. It's like, "No. I'm just this color all the time." haha ok. just venting. But Vicky, I don't blame you for being confused about my already pink undertones mixed in with my light sunburn. It was a little odd for everyone.
"Is that rude?" -Me
"YES. It is!" -Willy
No need to mention what was being discussed at the time but let's just say it brought on an entire weekend of Nieko and I asking people if they would do something for a million dollars. We are still shocked people said no. I just wish you could hear the way Willy responded to my question. He was kind of offended...
Dear Willy,
I love you and and I hope you know it. Please remember to never take offense to anything that comes out of my mouth.
Sincerely,
Jenn istillthinkyouwoulddoitforamilliondollarsandit'snotabigdeal Hansen
"WHAT?! did you hear that?"
-Nieko about a girl farting.
Ok. so we didn't hear the actual "toot" but are you kidding me?! I've talked about this girl's gas problems before but I just don't know what kind of girl just does that while hanging out and thinks it's nbd?! She's super nice, of course, but it's just one of those shocking moments where you have to ask someone else if you just heard things correctly because it's that bizarre.
"Is it bad that I lead a boring life and love to hear your drama?"
-Savanna
She really doesn't lead a boring life. Her fiance' is just gone during the weekdays this summer so hearing about it is exciting for her. It's not bad at all. I mean, I'm pretty dramatic and I usually have good stories. Sav hasn't met any of the people I really hang out with these days but she's pretty up to date with it all. Plus, I've realized that anyone who's read my blog probably feels like they know certain "characters" in my life. haha. Come on. Girl's gotta have a person outside of the situation to talk to you know?!
"If you're tired, GET OUT!!!"
-Vicky the people on our friend's soccer team
If you know Vicky, you know that she's a loud person (sometimes louder than me, I think!) so when she yelled this during the game, I was dying.
1.) because it was so loud.
2.) because it was a little rude and
3.) because some of the people around me, took it as a "that's what she said" kind of thing and chuckled to themselves. hahahaha. But really, this coming from the "SHUTTING DOWN" girl? ha. Honestly though, she's fun to cheer with--She gets into it :)
"hi. What's your name?" -me trying to be nice to the girl sitting by herself watching people play Volleyball at the church.
"Asian." -Asian girl
"Hasian?" -me trying to make a name out of it because I knew that B wasn't really named Asian. Get real. She was Asian. Who would do that do their kid?
"NO. Asian." -Asian girl
"oh. hi." -me. *insert a "she's WEIRD" face to Nieko and held back laughs between the both of us.
I kid you not. This really happened. Come to find out the girl's real name is Jennifer in American and Win (yeah, W-I-N) in Korean. It's like... just tell me your real name instead of making me feel even more racist for a minute because it took a lot for me to say hi to you to begin with. oh geez. Was that rude?
I don't care.

Weekend Recap.
Normally
I have a ton to say about the weekend.
But, one of my main things from my weekend is a project that Ariana and
I worked on Saturday afternoon and since it's not done.. I can't really post about it yet. Yes, I
found it on pinterest. Yes, there was no
tutorial to work from. Yes, my legs are
HECKA sore and feel like I did a billion squats. Yes, it's adorable and I can't wait to hang it up in my apt. And yes--we are purely awesome.
We still have to paint the project so I won’t
post the pictures just yet but you should be really excited. Here's a little sneak peak. The beginning:
The rest of the weekend was interesting. We didn’t do a
whole lot but we always manage to have fun with whatever we are doing. On Friday night we
went to boondocks and did unlimited go carts, batting cages, and even managed
to fit in a game of bowling. Boondocks is always a fun choice especially now since it’s
warming up outside so we don’t have to freeze our buns off doing the outside
stuff.
Can I say a couple things about
the go carts? 1. Stay away from the Vicky’s of this world while on the track. Why? You WILL get stuck and the scrawny little guys
who work there WILL have to come and lift
you out. Luckily the kid was able to
lift my car without problems. Smh. That could have been more embarrassing than it
already was. Even more embarrassing is
the fact that ALL of your 10 other friends are passing you laughing… haha. oh
and 2.) If you get turned around on the
track.. don’t keep pushing your gas petal.
You might come close to a head on collision with people like liz. That could have been awful. [Thanks a lot, RICKY].
Even though
it seemed to be a pretty uneventful weekend we still managed to have some
interesting conversations, I got punched in the face by nieko (he claims it was
an accident but I think it’s really because I told him ‘no’ and wouldn’t do
what he wanted me to do.. that was like a first for him..haha), and I realized that 1.) some
people can’t keep their mouth shut even if you ask them too, 2.) some people
will still always be a planet away from reality, 3.) Sometimes you just have to hang up the phone or change the subject after you've spoken your peace and 4.) sometimes you start crap without thinking... no turning back at that point.
Oh and on Sunday I celebrated Mother's day by going to church, calling my mom and sister and taking to the couch and watching my TV shows. I was honestly too worn out and sore to do anything else. Simply stated, it was a fabulous Sunday alone where I meditated and collected my thoughts as well. I live for days like those :)
I know we're a day late but I just want to wish my Mom a late Happy Mother's Day via the blog. I'm not sure how she did such a good job raising me and the sibs, but I think we're pretty great so she must have done a lot right :). I love her so much. Not many people can say that their mom is also one of their best friends... But I'm totally one of those people. Love you mom!

Cake, men, and a Virtual B slap.
I love cake. Especially cupcakes. There's just something about having your own mini cake that is yours to enjoy alone. They are super cute, come in different sizes, flavors, and have the cute little wrappers that gives it a special touch. Cake is sinful, sometimes you want more than one but deep down you know that is bad for you. I think it's also safe to say that each cake lover has that one kind that is their weakness. The "cant get enough of it" kind of thing. Like me and red velvet cake; I have a love/hate relationship with it.
Kind of like men. haha
I love men. Like cupcakes, they come in different sizes, types [flavors] and the ones that dress really nice just puts the icing on top of a beautiful man. My weakness--bad boys. smh. It's unfortunate, really.
Cake...men....both delicious, some are really pretty to look at, and they both make me drool on occasion.
Want the comparison to continue followed by a totally intended virtual B slap that initiated the cake post? ok, follow me!
Here's the thing about cake: too much of it is not good for you. And, let's be honest, on occasion we have moments where we think "Meh, cake is cake."
Still, the comparison to men works. But most of the time, you should be picky! Don't let anyone tell you different. It's your cupcake so you should get one that you will really enjoy.
OK.. on to the point. Aren't these little gems ^^ just pretty to look at? I mean, all of them. When we got these cupcakes in NYC last fall I couldn't get over how cute they were. At that moment I understood exactly what it meant to really want to "Have your cake and eat it too." I literally wanted to keep some of them because they were so cute but my mouth was drooling to eat them knowing how delicious they really were.
I've been thinking about this idea lot this week with some crap that's been going on lately. In life there are some people who really want to "have their cake and eat it too" especially when it comes to their relationships. So what does that mean? I mean, if you dangle cake in front of my face you better be dang sure that I'm going to want to eat it. Doesn't mean that I will actually eat it but a part of me usually wants too. [ But HELLO--It's called control. ] But I know that if I eat my cake that I can't HAVE it as well. I mean, my belly has it for a bit and some of it might stick to my thigh's and rear end but I don't really still have possession of it. I've eaten it and that's it.
This phrase is referring to just that--people who want the best of both worlds. To have it and to eat it. For example, this would be people who want all the benefits of being in a relationship so they hold on to one when they get it but at the same time wants to live the "single life" or still date around but doesn't really let the other person know where they really stand.
Earth to you people--It doesn't freaking work that way. Don't you know you can't have the best of both world's when it comes to relationships while still remaining honest to yourself and the other person in the relationship?
Gah. grow up.
All I have to say is whatever you are doing, just be open and honest about it. Don't lie to people. It's hurtful and it's rude. Tell the truth! On the other side, If you are just feeling a little crazy and you want to go try a lot of cakes this summer then just do it. nbd. Cake is good...Just be careful:)
ummm Cupcake run anyone?! really. that red velvet is calling my name.

It's Wednesday--Stuff people said this week.
"Skirts can't give you camel toe--that's the way to go."
-Remember crazy Ms. X from my work who I've never really talked to but she talks about how she goes on a billion dates and she's in her upper 30's? Yeah. her.
This B is crazy. Not only is camel toe something you don't want to yell across an office but she didn't even laugh after she said it. She was serious, it was weird, and we were all confused. And honestly, is that REALLY the reason why you wear skirts? She must have a real CT problem or something. eww. what a freak. not an imagine we wanted. ugh.
"You wouldn't understand...You're adopted."
-Mom
Ok, I'm really starting to think that I am adopted. I mean, once your mom starts cracking those jokes it starts to seem real.
"I'm not that kind of girl." -me
"HA. Yeah you are." -brad
His instant reply was a little insulting. Like he knows me or something? puhlease. hahaha. oh yeah.
"ANTELOPE?! What the hell is that?"
-Kim Zolziack, Real Housewives of Atlanta on her spin off show "Don't be Tardy for the Wedding."
She really didn't know what antelope was and couldn't fathom the fact that some people eat that kind of meat. It was so funny. I wasn't that shocked considering she didn't even know how to use a can opener and said that she hadn't cooked meat before. Oh, rich people. smh
"Go lick that taco and I'll take a picture of you."
-Nieko
haha. Don't judge...It was a HUGE taco pinata and it was freakishly awesome. You really think you can have a Cinco De Mayo party without at least one taco comment? Puhlease. I don't know what was more funny though. The comment or the fact that I actually licked it. Someone had to try to liven that 'party' up. OLE'!
"Are you talking about the girl who always looks like a 'Snatch'?? (meaning Biznatch..haha)." -Jamie
"Stop--that's nasty!! Don't you know what a Snatch is?" -mom
"uhhh I'm assuming Vagina?" -me
"Yeah.Va-gee-gee." -Mom
bahahaha. Ok, 1) I HONESTLY didn't know that was a term for a V so I had to laugh. I mean, how did I, Jennifer Hansen, not know that?! haha. 2.) Really mom, you think that's nasty? yeah right. and 3.) VA-gee-gee? omg. that mother of mine.
"Their wiener's are longer and plumper here."
-mom at the sonic drive through.
We all had to look around to see what she was talking about because none of us had ordered a hot dog. We were so confused. Turns out she was reading the sign on the Sonic building. haha. weird. This, of course, turned into non stop comments about Wiener's.... like this.
"OMG he heard me say whale dingy."
-Jamie about the guy on the skates that came out to the car.
Of course we were still on the topic about the hot dogs, I ended up quoting sixteen candles, mom turned it into something about whale's privates, and Jamie was making fun of mom for turning the conversation into that ^^^ and the guy totally heard what she said and gave her the funniest look. Made my day. seriously.
"It smells like a wiener in here."
-mom
Ok mom, enough with the Hot dog comments. Last one. But really.. we didn't order hot dogs remember? I think she just liked saying wiener and I was so tired from shopping all day that everything was making me laugh so hard. haha. She's a keeper I think.
"We are just too good at this game."
-Nieko
hahahaha. I laugh because it's so true. When it comes to relationship problems or problems with people's life in general, we are really good at detecting things before they happen. And we love that we are so good at it. We don't always love some of the things that we have to do but it's a talent for sure.
"I don't want to go home................................... Jennifer, I don't want to go hooooooome."
-Creepy Liz Voicemail
Nieko and I had to listen to it a couple of times because we thought it was so funny. It was like she was talking to herself really quiet, waited a few seconds and then yelled it again. It was creepy. Esther style. jk jk. Love her. We settled for putting her on speaker phone and bringing back the car of trust/secrets. woot woot, summer!
"Every time I see a girl with lots of eyeliner and foundation I think, they must have an issue with themselves and who they are."
-The coworker and work who CONSTANTLY talks about dating so loud to another coworker that you have to crank up your headphones just to drown him out.
hahahaha oh yeah, that's what it is. I wear eyeliner because I have some really big issues with who I am. Thank you for figuring out women. *insert sarcastic thumbs up*
"I might just pull anger from somewhere else."
-Vicky about our boxing match.
SCARY. I mean, we are good friends so boxing each other wasn't a big deal. But she looked super tired which can sometimes come across as angry so for a brief second I was a little scared. Sometimes you don't know how angry people can get especially when you are being "attacked" (even if you are just playing around) haha. Thanks to Kyle for breaking up the "fight' after I got popped in the jaw. That could been bad..I'm a TITZ crazy.
"Where are your booty shorts?"
-Willy
haha. I guess I didn't bust those out last summer so it made a little impression when I was wearing them at home the other day with an over-sized tshirt.
Mental Note: Destroy booty shorts.
-Remember crazy Ms. X from my work who I've never really talked to but she talks about how she goes on a billion dates and she's in her upper 30's? Yeah. her.

Things I don't appreciate..
I don't appreciate...
The fact that I've ignored the grape flavor for so long.
I have honestly spent all of my life saying, "grape is the worst artificial flavor ever made." And I really did believe that for a really long time. I don't know where it started. Maybe with grape soda? I don't know. But it has to date back to elementary school AT LEAST. Maybe even birth. This whole time I've avoided all things grape, aside from actual grapes and sometimes white grape juice...until last night when I gave into a sugar craving and Nieko gave me a Grape Jolly Rancher that he dug out of my never ending Easter candy. I firmly told him that I hated grape but wanted the candy so much that I popped it in my mouth anyways. My mind was BLOWN. I really loved it. What was I thinking all these years? Why did I shun grape for so long? I will never know. I don't appreciate it. Never again (smh)..never again.
When people think they are the exception.
Alright, I've totally caught myself doing this before but I really don't like when people do this to me. It's like, "um, don't tell me what to do. Get back to me once you come up with some better advice. Thank you very much!"
People who don't know when to stay out of other people's business.
I know what you're thinking: "But Jenn's always in everyone's business." Uh, EARTH to MORON--People make it my business the second they come to me for advice about the situation and spill their guts. Sorry for being awesome, I guess. I will just say that it's one thing to want to know what's going on but if someone didn't ask you for your opinion, then maybe you should just back off... just a thought. (of course, unless it's an issue that is really serious. Just use your head.)
People who say one thing but mean another.
You know the kind. The girl who says she loves a guy but goes out and flaunts her goods to others, the girl who says she's not a slut but everyone knows she's open for business, or the guy who says, "I just want to be a husband and good dad" *insert charming smile from the dude and a gallon of barf from me* but you know he's just trying to charm you and get something from you? Yeah. Those people. I don't appreciate them. At all. Don't worry, they eventually get what they deserve. You know who you are... check yourself.

Weekend/Summer 2012 Bring it on!
-What a fabulous weekend! I always love it when Family comes to visit. I get jealous sometimes that almost all of my friends here in Utah either live with their family or they have family nearby. I know 5 hours isn't too bad but honestly I miss them a lot when we are apart. I love living on my own but I just wish I could see them more often (without the whole having to drive all that way thing.) But we always make it count when they visit.
Here's a little picture recap of the weekend.
This is before Mason's haircut with Ariana. Isn't my sister gorgeous? It's rude, really. And then her baby is a clone of her. More rude. Precious to my soul! Love them.
I like to make Mason try things on. This was at the Kid's American Eagle.
Lil' Jason Mraz action?
Lil' Jason Mraz action?
This is the cute face he makes when I've feeding him fruit or baby yogurt. He puckers his lips until he swallows. Omg, obsessed. Look at his baby blues :)
He has this thing for gold fish. We shopped for HOURS on Saturday and he was perfectly content in his stroller eating his fish. Not sure how he eats them considering he only has three teeth, but he does it.
Ok, SERIOUSLY?! Look at those teeth. GAH. Miss him already. His cheekies are so kissable. And he's just so much fun. My favorite little buddy, hands down.
Oh, and remember when I mentioned on Friday that I wanted to shave my head but would probably settle for a cut? Yeah.. totally went to Ariana and we cut a TON off! I only have my Instagram pic so here you go. It's SO short in the back that absolutely no pony tails for me for a while. But I love it so it's all good. No Cameron Diaz break down for me this time :)...yet.
Even with my family here, I had some time to chill with my friends. We always have the most interest conversations and do the most random things but it's always fun. If you happened to see my boxing match vs Vicky Toa or caught the video that was posted on fbook yesterday for a couple of hours (before I put a end to that crap) then I'm sorry. How embarrassing. Apparently it was really funny, and I'm sure I would have been laughing if it was anyone else. but uh, yeah, not my finest hour. But I really think I would enjoy taking a boxing class. We all know I need lessons (thanks easton for trying to coach me.)
Lots of things came up the past weekend that have gotten me thinking. I'm sure I will talk about them later this week but quite frankly, work was crazy today so I'm about done. But remind me to talk about some of the following things :) haha.
-People need to stop taking life so seriously ALL the time
-"If it feels good, do it"
-Follow your heart, or your gut...ORRRR just listen to Jenn:)
-Do what's best for YOU
-Even the people you love the most can lie.
-Sometimes you get your heart broken...
-Reality check, Sister.
-Just because you love someone, doesn't mean it's always right.
-Sometimes it's OK to shut certain feelings off for a bit and just have fun.
Honestly, there are a lot of things I could talk crap about or jot down but for now, that will have to do. Summer 2012...Bring on the Fun and the Drama ;)

Random thoughts, post #1 million, 2 hundred, 86 thousand.
Remember how I told you that I have a Sperm Farm in my Kitchen? You know, the Sea Monkeys? I thought they were weird even before Nieko discovered last night that a few of them are mating...hardcore. We had to Google it to confirm that it was true because it was so strange. Apparently they can do that for weeks at a time. Yeah, I said weeks. "Monkey See, Monkey Do," I guess because there were three sets of them getting busy right in the middle of my kitchen last night. I mean, I imagine it gets wicked boring in that little tank but really? Don't they know that they are in the KITCHEN!? I don't really appreciate them doing it 24/7 and making a billion more babies but I guess that's what they do, and I really don't have control over it so, whatever. Moral of the story is that I'm going to be a mom. haha. really. We saw the egg sac on one of them. ew. spermy BABIES.
Someone recently told me that I had trust issues. holdupholdupholdup. Trust issues? That's not true. I'll admit that I have a few issues with men but that's only because they haven't proven themselves to be trust worthy when it comes the the matter we were speaking about. I don't have trust issues. smh. I'm cool. deal wit it.
Have you ever wanted to do something so bad that you think that you honestly won't get over it until you just do it? Like punch someone in the face, tell someone off, send that text or make that phone call just so the other person knows that you are interested or that you're thinking about them or to let them know that they can't walk all over you..that kind of thing or, Idk anything really? If you have never felt this way then.. I SO hate you. Ok, not hate but really?! Please tell me how you control it. Most of the time I don't get to this point because if I want to do something then I just do it. But you know what, sometimes there are some things that you just can't do because of whatever reason. And although, you really want to follow through there is just that logic that says, "No. Don't do it. You can't." And then you remember that deep down you must be a really good person. Somewhere in there. gah. fml.
It's a good thing my mom, sister and my mason are coming this weekend because I really want to chop off my hair and have had thoughts of dying it dark all day long. Yeah.... both are things that I should never be allowed to do, yet, part of me just wants to be like "be ballsy. It can't get worse" when in all actuality, it really could get worse. ugh. Somebody please stop me before I do something irrational and end up crying like Cameron Diaz because of how hideous I know I would feel after getting rid of all of my hair. ey yi yi. Honestly, I just want to do something crazy and up in here... the hair is about all you can mess with without being basically damned.
It's not official but I'm really contemplating moving. Probably staying in the same general area but I'm about to stick it to the man. Aka--Sterling Point Apartment. We'll see. Someone please pray for me. haha. really.
I think our group of friends has decided, yet again, on Vegas for our little summer get away. Super original but I'm really excited for our a smaller group to go. It's a different group this time and we are closer than before so I think it will be a super good time. I mean, come on, we still talk about Vegas from last year, so of course it will be a good time! More deats to come :)
If I haven't mention it yet, Coleman is all settled in Canada! Phew. Honestly, that stress has been half of the reason why I've been so crazy all week long. But now that he's settled and Sam is on his way and Easton will be shortly behind, I'm feeling a lot better about the situation!
Here's wishing everyone a great weekend. And a happy Cinco de Mayo! I will be with the family but ohh do I need this weekend! Even though, I still don't have a debit card and we are shopping tomorrow.. ew. FFFFFFFMMMMMLLLL, Identity Theft!
Oh well, moving on! xoxoxo
Friday's Favorite Things--For the Ladies
I know it's been a billion years since I've done this segment but I thought I would let you in on a couple of favorites recently!
Victoria Secret's Drenched in Pink, "Pretty and Pure" Lotion
seriously, obsessed with this stuff. The bottle is only one of my favorite things about this product. But don't be tricked--they have MULTIPLE scents that come in this same kind of bottle. So test the "Pretty and Pure" and see what you think. It's way soft and the smell is just like the name describes it. I love it and I did the "Boy approval" test and got a "mmmm you smell so good" out of it. So I think it's a keeper :)
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
I'm not sure if i'm the only one, but by the time I get home from work, the Bare Minerals that I applied on my face that morning is usually pretty bare looking...like, not event there anymore; I hate it. This spray actually works for me!
All you do is apply your makeup, close your eyes and then spritz 3 or 4 sprays right over the top of your makeup and you are good to go for hours! I don't use it everyday because, let's be honest, there are some days where I could care less if my makeup lasts all day. But I've found that if I'm going to go to a concert, or dancing, or staying out really late that this stuff really does the trick! You can get a good sized bottle for only $12 bucks at Sephora.
