Who would have thought that EVERYONE would have guessed it was me after only the second question? Sure, I said that my dream job was "Profesh Blogger/Event Planner at my own venue"..am I that obvi?
Whatevs. They would have known it was me after the "if you could take three people (living or dead) to lunch, who would you take?'
1.) I had a very vivid dream last night that I did a phone interview of Kim Kardashian at work and my boss (who wasn't my boss in real life) was so happy that he hired me because of my "instant connection" with all celebrities and he gave me lots of gifts and compliments because of it. haha. [I'm so cool]. The weird/even more random part of the dream was that I remember thinking, "wow. I'm living the dream!"
BUT--we all know that if I was really living the dream then what I was dreaming about would be reality and me and KimK would be real BFF's. Right? Well, I was sadly disappointed to wake up to the realization that I wasn't really "living the dream."
Obsessed with Reality TV, much? yep.
2.) Today is one of the BFF's Birthday's. She loves her birthday more than anyone I know on this planet and I love that she does. So, I figured I better give her some virtual lovin'! (bahaha. ok, that comment came out so weird that I just couldn't change it)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAVY B :)
Love ya!
3.) Last night I went to play tennis and I had one of these moments... see number 3 on the pic below:
I MISS MY MESSY BUN and longish PONY TAIL!!! I suppose I'll just have to occasionally rock the ugly samurai pony. and when I do..
don't-- *insert ugly cry here--judge
4.) Ben Sherman boy is looking mighty fine today..Like capitol F-I-N-E. I've decided it's the clothes for sure that do it for me but don't say I never found a ginger attractive, k? And fall clothes=MMM MMM yeah....
5.) Have you watched the new TV show, New Girl, with Zooey Deschanel? If you haven't, go watch it now. omg. so funny. I've watched the first two episodes by myself and both times I've looked around my apartment and thought, "wow. I'm laughing super loud and I'm by myself. awesome." Good thing Amy watches it so we can come to work and quote it and laugh about it all over again. Just trust me--it's a good one!
6.) I've decided that there are certain people you just can't rely on. It's annoying. Like, why can't you just do what you say you're going to do when you're going to do it? It drives me freaking BANANAS. How do some people live like that!?
7.) The whole "living with a boy, even if it's my brother" thing is interesting. I swear that it's prepping me for marriage. I mean, if I can cook and constantly clean up after my brother without being thanked and only occasionally get ticked about it, then I think I can make it work with a future husband FOR SURE. *note--Cole is not that bad at it. I'll just chalk it up to a rough week and the fact that I'm a bit OCD :)
8.) I'm in desperate need of a vacation I've decided. Mostly just to get away from work and....everything. Oh yeah. I almost forgot that I'll be on the other side of the country this time next week! yeaaa yeaaaa.
I promise I will stop talking about the trip after I post about the actual trip. promise.
9.) Do you ever feel like punching people or pushing them down simply because they are so stupid. Not the "I'm bad at school" or "I can't read" kind of stupid. I'm just talking about people who don't understand social and relationship norms. Like, what makes you think that is OK to do or say? It's totally not a nice thought to have but it's not like I really want to injure them. Just a little tap or push. that's all.
10.) It's funny how little moments can significantly change your life. I'm learning that more and more everyday.
Bonus * Yay for Conference this weekend. We all know I need it!
"Dude, like I thought I was psycho and crazy, this {girl} is beyond psycho and crazy. I don’t even know what to call it. Like, you’re a wildebeest...." -Snooki talking about Brittney, the Situation's "fun" buddy. hahaha. That's not the word that comes to my mind...but it does start with a W :)
"It smells like Fruit Loops in here" -Willy before he continued to decipher the OBVIOUS smell of the scentsy candle. uhhhh...are you serious?! He was guessing citrus smells. So funny. Especially since Nieko pegged it the second he walked in the door. "I guess Willy's family didn't have the privilege of having BLUEBERRY MUFFINS growing up!!" -Nieko
"You eliminate the room!" -Paula Abdul Why did I think she wouldn't be drunk for the X Factor too?
"Let's make a pact to never get boring" -Nieko We didn't shake on it or anything but it was a legit verbal agreement that we would never get boring and only get more awesome:) We're not kidding.
“This is like me and Ron. Now I get it... Sorry.” -Sammi, Jersey Shore haha. Really Sammi? You are just NOW realizing what you put everyone through for last three seasons of the show and finally apologizing? Didn't you watch the other seasons? Girrrrrl--you're nuts! Better late than never, I suppose?
"...he's a large man, think the penguin from Batman." -Savanna At first I pictured him literally looking like the penguin and then I decided to tone down my imagination because who really looks like that? haha. What if though? sad. Great description, Sav! :)
"...Word on the street is that it was arson. I guess some disgruntled employee--Creepy Kyle? Maybe, who knows." -Hyrum haha. If you only knew the story of Creepy Kyle and how he wanted to be my baby's daddy. Weird. Funny. Creepy...hence the name. *Shiver* The end.
*So..my dad is hilarious. No joke. We had a convo after dinner this weekend about making beer battered fish and it turned into something like this...
Me-pink/Dad-green: "So you're saying I can taste whatever alcohol I want as long as I don't swallow it?" "Sure. It doesn't hurt anything. Go ahead and taste what people walking around are drinking--tastes like Rocky Mountain piss water." bahaha. Oh dad. If it tastes like it smells, which I'm sure it does, then I don't even want it touching my precious tounge. Just sayin'.
I got home from Idaho on Sunday and started putting out some of my fall decorations--I just couldn't help myself. I haven't put out the Halloween stuff just yet but I'm thinking I might just have to do it soon because I love it so much.
One of the blogs I follow, "Six Sisters' Stuff" posted some awesome links today to 10 free Halloween printables. yes. FREE!! You can check them out here. I printed out a couple of them in 8X10 and I'm going to go buy a couple of cheap frames this week so I can put them up in my living room or dining area. Haven't decided where just yet but I'm sure it will be cute.
Can you believe I've posted 300 times since I've had this awesome blog? It's true. I'm either officially cool or officially crazy. Probably both? idk.
I think it's only fitting that my 300th post is dedicated to a kid who's only 3 months old but totally knows what's up:
See--Mason keeps it real.
I had so much fun going home to see the family this weekend for Mason's baby blessing. We honestly couldn't ask for a better addition to our little family. I know I'm biased--get over it--but he's adorable.
It was a super short trip with lots of driving, which I hate, but it's always worth it in the end. Even though it was only a 24 hour trip or so, it was super jammed packed--Dad of course needed us to help load/haul cattle from pasture, I crawled through barb wire (dad made me), climbed more fence, laughed A LOT, visited the gma, held the baby, ate yummy food, shared a piece of pie from the truck stop with dad, watched a movie with the parents, fell asleep on mom's shoulder (I even woke up this morning and she had put a blanket on me...tender "mother/daughter" moment. no joke.), I cried a couple times, pulled Regan around in the wagon, watched Regan and cole beat each other up, mom cried when we left and said "I wish you didn't have to leave"..uh, yep. It was a pretty standard trip.
I can't think of anything better than my FAMILY to celebrate for my 300th post :) I love you guys. xoxo
I know it's 80 degrees outside today but there have already been some pretty fall-ish evenings which means perfect fall weather and that splendid "fall feel" is right around the corner. So get your cardigans, jackets and boots ready--It's coming!!:)
I'm obsessed with Fall and Halloween. Favorite Season. Favorite Holiday. Hands down. Here's why:
The Colors
The Pumpkins and Decorations
The Smells mmm Pumpkin spice and other baked yummies.
Dressing up for Halloween Parties
This isn't what I'm being this year but isn't this clever?! Don't worry, I have my costume idea all picked out :) However, I'm not going to reveal it yet. Mostly because I'm not sure if I can make it as cute as the picture of the 5 year old little girl I ripped it off from. haha. But it's cute and I'm excited.
The Yummy treats ..that I shouldn't eat but love...
Halloween/ Scary Movies
I still watch Hocus Pocus multiple times every year and I love watching scary movies during the ENTIRE month of October. no joke.
Haunted Houses/ Getting Scared
I only made it to the parking lot/lobby of this one a couple of years ago. I'm doing it for reals this year!
I don't think I will actually go to this one because of my strong hatred of clowns, but watch this short clip from the Strangling Brothers Haunted Circus in Draper. Sick!
muahaha *evil laugh. Plain and simple. I just love FALL/HALLOWEEN :) :)
"omg. I'm going to punch you in the face right now!" -Coleman as I was touching an ouchy on his foot that "KILLED." He wasn't really going to punch me in the face...He was joking. I just pushed really hard on his foot to see what it was and I guess it hurt him really bad.bahahhaha. funny.
"It smells like hot sweat and regret in here." -Vinny, Jersey Shore. oh Vin--Always clever!
"You went to BYU-Idaho so you have to cheer for BYU." -Coworker Todd. Um. pretty sure that's not how it works. BYU-Idaho doesn't even have a sports team and the schools are in different states...Weirdo! And it's a good thing I didn't listen to him. I mean, did you see that game!? ..Go, U :)
"Sure, Jenn, we all know why you are really leaving..." -Heather after institute Yes, it's true--I'm am going home to watch Jersey Shore with my friends. BUT I really am going home to eat dinner first. "Come on HEATHER, get real!" haha. I love it. "I feel like we are on a TV show right now and we are all over here eating all of your food." -Nieko omg. I feel like my life is a TV show all of the time. I guess that's what I get for watching as much reality TV as I do.
"Deena, are you Lesbian?!" -Sammy, JS It's the way she said it that had me laughing so hard. And really, it was kind of a legit question after last Thursday's episode. haha.
"Did you give him the "bird" for all of womanhood?" -Amy's hubby Stephen in reference to something really awkward that happened at work today. haha. Oh Stephen. I wish we could have given him the "bird" for all of the women of this world and said some other choice things..or just junk punched him right up in his man bidness and been like "YOU KNOW WHY!". But again, you've got to keep your cool at work... DANG IT!
I mostly just wanted to share my Favorite of the week: "..It was like a Lion ate a Zebra!" -Willy explaining what his dog, "Neiko" looked like after he did something really naughty. seriously, I was gagging on my large gourmet sucker when he told us the story and said that comment. bahahaha. what a great, unbloggable day ;)
Today is the International Day of Peace or "Peace Day" for short. If you want to know more about its purpose and how YOU can make an impact, you can go here. But it's pretty self explanatory...
My Challenge: use today to make an extra special effort to do something that will bring peace into your day.
-Use 15 minutes of your facebook or TV time to meditate -Make peace in your own relationships (resolve a conflict) -Forgive someone who's hurt you and don't look back. (get rid of any hate) -Dedicate an hour towards service toward someone else -Find peace with where you are in your life.
These are all great things that we can choose to do. I mean, just imagine what the world would be like if everyone did at least one of those things everyday?
This morning started out a little frustrating but I decided that I was going to jump on board with the Peace thing today. With that said, I've already resolved a conflict, I've been focusing on my breathing for the last hour and I feel...great. And nicer! haha.
As one of my clients says everytime I call him, "GIRRRL, I'm happy to be alive!"
We are 15 days away from our NYC trip and even though it probably won't happen, I want to have at least one celeb sighting while we are there. I mean, with as much as I know about these people, I think it's only fair! Of course, I would love to see ANY celeb but here are a just a few I've compiled based on recent sightings on people.com's "star tracker" and my knowledge of which shows and movies are currently shooting in the city.
OHHH Or anyone from the "New Years Eve" Movie cast:
omg. I could go on and on but I will stop there before you think I'm super celebrity obsessed:) I'm not counting on seeing a celeb but I'm just saying it would make my day! That's all ;)
Yesterday was the official kick-off to National Singles Week. So, if you're single and you woke up this morning not worrying or giving any thought to the fact that you are indeed single, well, sorry...You get a whole week dedicated to the fact that you aren't in love.
uhhh, Thank you..?
haha. I'm not bitter at all. I just want to know where the crap my presents are?!? It's a celebration and to me, that means prizes. So why isn't there a fictional character that leaves candy and gifts or money on your pillow as a surprise for when you wake up during Single's Week? Can't the singles of the world get some love too?!
I guess one of the joys of being single is that we can buy presents for ourselves and not feel bad about it. So, you know what? I'm going to buy myself a gift this week in celebration of the fact that I can! I'm not sure what I'm going to buy yet but I've had my eye on some cute boots and a super cute jacket. We'll see. I might buy both :) Oh, and let's not forget that some of my SINGLE friends and I are going on our trip to NYC in less than 20 days. Yep. I'm not bitter.
I was reading today online that there are an estimated 82 million single and unmarried adults in the United States. 82 MILLION. And that's not counting the single people in other countries! So, from one single person to another--you're not alone so embrace it while you can. No. I'm not saying that you should have that mentality that you want to be single forever just because it's easier and you can buy whatever you want, whenever you want. haha. Don't kid yourself into thinking that will be fun when you're old and alone. Everyone wants to be in LOOOOOVE some day. I'm just saying that it's OK to celebrate your single-ness while you are single and what better excuse than during Single's Week?
So...buy yourself something! Go out with friends. Stay out late. Use it as a good excuse to ask a fellow single person on a date; go on multiple dates if you want. [Playa, playa! jk] Remind yourself of the things you are looking for and starting working on becoming that kind of person. Don't settle. You're single--Not Dead. CELEBRATE:)
